Is it possible to have the Magine.com service working in the same manner as the Viaplay addon?
Magine uses Widevine for DRM purposes, which is installed as a plugin for your browser.

It uses DRM which I assume means they will have to make a binary add-on + no support from many xbmc devs?

Magine TV is right now in the beta phase for germany. May it is also available in toher countries (of course)
So, a XBMC addon would be a great addition

Yes i made one for germany for Kodi 17+ inputstream+ widevine extension. But i habe no clue its also workinf for other countrys

You need Input Stream (Kodi17) Should be part of Kodi17 . I fInpiutStream ist in. You Could Manually add it (In the Kodinerds Repo, under Repos, you Find Binary Repos for Resbarry2 /3
Than you have to do some things manually

2.ln -s /storage/.kodi/addons/inputstream.mpd/lib/libssd_wv.so /storage/.kodi/cdm/
After that there should be 2 Files in cdm
libssd_wv.so
libwidevinecdm.so
Why?
you need inputstream (Adaptive) for Playing Widevine, libss_wv.so users livwidevinecdm to decrypt the DRM, to play the Video
