XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - stitch84 - 2013-09-26 Hi, i have a new HTPC with i5 4430S and Intel DH87RL Mainboard and Zotac GT630 graphics card. Unfortunately all my videos are jerking. It is really annoying. All videos are playing with VDPAU acceleration. "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" is on Vertical Sync is always on. What can i do? Do you need further information? You can find my log here: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=62947 Thank you RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - furii - 2013-09-26 did you modify that log? it doesn't show playback starting. RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - stitch84 - 2013-09-26 Yes, sorry! I am new to XBMC. http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=62963 Here is the complete one RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - fritsch - 2013-09-26 You open 6 channels on your TV, which only has two. Change your speaker layout to 2.0 and disable all the Audio Codecs it does not support (DTS, AC3, TrueHD, DTS-HD, AAC, ..) RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - stitch84 - 2013-09-26 This is strange, under System - Audio my settings are set to Analog and 2.0. Audio Output is set to HDS NVidia, SAM SAMSUNG on HDMI Can you show me the corresponding log entry? I can not find the opening of 6 channels in that log. However, i restarted the system and created a new log. http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=62988 Thank you for your replies! RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - fritsch - 2013-09-27 That log looks good, no diconts: Quote:22:48:29 T:140690177410816 INFO: CSoftAE::InternalOpenSink - keeping old sink with : AE_FMT_FLOAT, FL,FR, 48000hz Also fine in the log. Can you retry with a nightly: Code: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:team-xbmc/xbmc-nightly Take care of the new settings hierarchies, if you miss a setting, press left to get the sidebar and set it to Advanced. RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - stitch84 - 2013-09-28 Sorry, i have to write again. First, thank you for your support so far. Play a local file. Disable vaapi in the Video -> Playback Settings, keep vdpau and the vdpau mixer. Please play that sample and post the log again: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55728161/clannad.mkv (it does not have sound - play it from the local disk) RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - stitch84 - 2013-09-29 Hi fritsch, i tested your file. http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=63993 I have a wired connection to my Synology. I was connected over Samba to the NAS and now i am trying NFS. With NFS i have make a performance test with the tool dbench. Result was an average of 17 MB/s. I don´t know whether this is good or not. RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - stitch84 - 2013-10-01 Hi, i thought i solved this issue with switching from SMB to NFS. But with NFS i get the same behaviour. I tested with another file and sometimes (i think it is not deterministic) the video playback stutters. Audi is always ok. Here the mediainfo output Code: General and here the corresponding debug log http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=64616 RE: XBMC with new hardware. all videos are jerking - stitch84 - 2013-10-01 FYI: I tried the same file from my local SSD. Same behaviour Maybe my hardware is too new?! |
