@jjmucker, I think the best way for it, is separate 2D and 3D movies in 2 directories, create 2 smart playlist, based in path, after use function replace this menu with video playlist, creating 2 new item in main menu, and hidden movie item.

I have movies spread over multiple drives though. d drive has 2d movies, H drive has 2d movies and 3d movies. Does that mean I'd have to create 3 smart playlists?

Ive tried to create a smart playlist for 3d movies, that worked. 3d movies are stored in the one folder.
The problem im having is creating a playlist for 2d movies, these are stored on 2 seperate drives, Ive tried adding the 2 folders into the same smart plalist but its not working, If i remove one, it works. but having the 2 folders in there doesnt work?
ok, it worked by selecting "match" rule to "one or more of the rules "

How do i now have my "3d movies" and "2d Movies" on the homescreen?Thank you very much

Go to skin settings > Widgets > Disable the ones you want.

Got it mate thanks, I didnt see it in there as it was a smart playlist and it was right at the bottom.
now i need to fisure out how to get 3d covers, Ive added a bluray folder and a 3d folder. the bluray one works great as now my filenames do not have to contain the work bluray, but my 3d cases are coming up as dvd?
Schumi, Believe me I tried that mate, I just couldnt find anything. Tried googling then tried searching threads in here with keywords.
I know its a pain to see all these questions being asked. sorry

Name the folder that you have all your 3D movies in .3DBD
It should work then.

jjmucker, rename filename put .3dbd, example:
avatar.3dbd.sbs.mkv
Rescan after change for update your collection.. and now you have case 3D.

Yeah Ive heard people do that Wanilton, thanks, but Im sure i also saw someone say you can name the actual folder 3d or 3dbd ( or something like that ) and that way i dont have to go through all my 3d movies and rename them.

All my 3D movies are named with .3DBD in the file name, but someone did previously post that if they just named the parent folder 3DBD, all the films within would have the 3D tag.
That was before the requirement for the dot though.
How about trying 'movies.3DBD' as a parent folder name?

Nope it doesn't have those widgets. I think it should be a part of skinwidgets addon but if you can manage to create them it would be awesome
Ah ok, I saw an option in the skin settings for LiveTv, but it didn't do anything.
