RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - -DDD- - 2014-01-22 In the 4.0 Nighties there is no more Intel Build, you can take the Generic one. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - Acrobat76 - 2014-01-22 I'm not sure if it's a windows issue or a NUC one and it's also rather minor. Basically when I resume a video from pause it fast forwards for a half second or so. This didn't used to happen to me on XBMC on ATV2. Running windows 8.1 64bit. Anyone else experiencing such an issue? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - Mea Culpa - 2014-01-22 (2014-01-22, 21:34)dbldown768 Wrote: Any other tips?BIOS Update 0023. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - micoba - 2014-01-22 It was about time! Did anyone flash his nuc, yet? Does standby/shutoff finally work? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - millercentral - 2014-01-22 If so, it is not listed in the Release Notes: BIOS Version 0023 - WYLPT10H.86A.0023.2013.1224.0941 About This Release:

Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - BLKMGK - 2014-01-23 Does flashing to this new BIOS change anything with the activation of the remote receiver under Linux? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - micoba - 2014-01-23 New Fixes/Features: Fixed issue with random USB loss. I hope that fixes my problems with usb 3.0 sticks! RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - yuyak - 2014-01-23 I'm looking to build a NUC with win8.1 (have an extra copy lying around). I want to be able to: 1) Play 1080p bluray rip (mkv) with DTS-HD passthrough; files are on a NAS 2) Set up TV recording (WMC + HD Homerun Prime) I was looking at the baytrail NUC that just came out for ~$140 but I read on another thread that it currently can't do DTS-HD passthrough and it's unclear whether intel will fix it. If I go with one of the late-2013 version NUCs, which one should I get? TIA RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - micoba - 2014-01-23 Just tested the new FW update: + Shutoff seems to work. I tried it two times with Openelec 3.2.4. EDIT: Or not... Now it doesn't work anymore + My USB 3.0 stick is being recognised the last 3 times. Perhaps it's really fixed! - Standby doesn't work properly. Also when coming from standby all the background pics are missing. This seems to be an OpenElec bug. It also crashed once, after going into standby shortly after booting. Overall, it seems Intel did a great Job fixing at least some of the more serious bugs! And even if it worked, the background pics in OE 3.2.4 are missing. BTW there are new ethernet drivers available for windows. And why did Intel release the update as recently as yesterday, when they finished it on the 24. december EDIT: Great! Forget what I wrote! Now poweroff doesn't work anymore... C'mon, Intel, are you kidding me EDIT2: NOW I'M PISSED!!! MY POWER BUTTON DOESN'T SWITCH ON THE NUC ANYMORE!!! Great, Intel, really great!!! FYI: The power button can still be used to shut down the nuc. I recommend not to flash the update!!! RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - micoba - 2014-01-23 Don't update to FW 23!!! - Power Button didn't work anymore - Openelec Shuttoff and Standby don't work - USB 3.0 problems aren't fixed - even after shutting off, usb sticks and hdds stay on I went back to FW22, but the powerbutton still doesn't work! Should I send it back? Edit: I opened a new thread in the Intel Community: https://communities.intel.com/thread/48325 |
