I run my files over a wired lan (not wireless) but I have the same problem with my own recorded Tv Shows in the internal mSATA drive. nickr, I've posted a debug for you in another post several days ago. Can you take a look? http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=180265&page=7 I'm not very good with selecting debug code but I can make a video if it is useful. Kind regards, and thanks again. At the risk of sounding like a broken record... Any remote you want + a Flirc USB-dongle; this will let you map any button on the remote to any keyboard command. The only negative aspect would be that you need a small USB-dongle, which isn't big, though some people prefer not to have anything sticking out from their HTPC. I don't know anything about the F10 pro, but the Harmony 650 is a very nice remote. I've been used the Harmony 300i earlier and now I use the Xbox 360 Media remote (black one) I love the K400, but recently saw they have a new one K830 http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/product/living-room-keyboard-k830 If it's similarly sized, then it might replace my K400, only drawback that may be a dealbreaker is that it uses recharchargeable battery that only lasts 10 days - you would need to charge it quite frequently. Edit: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=186958 - this looks very nice, I could easily replace my current remote with this one since I never use the numbered buttons This is the one I use, which will work without Flirc on the Intel NUC http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Media-Remote/dp/B005FMLZQQ/ref=pd_bxgy_vg_img_y The reason I decided to use a Flirc is because I couldn't map all the buttons - Flirc removes a lot of hassle. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - macmus - 2014-04-14 the small x-box one looks nice! How i can use it with windows 8.1, netflix metro app and acting as mouse. ? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - trsqr - 2014-04-14 The NUC IR receiver is able to work with pretty much any remote. I've tried a host of remote controls that I had and most of them do work (Samsung remotes I had did not work though). Of course you do need to find out the scan codes and do the keymapping. In my experience an MCE remote will work out of the box, though key mapping might be necessary in order to customize the behaviour of the remote to your liking. Have a look at http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=Guide_to_add_your_own_remote in order to use almost any remote with the NUC IR receiver, if you're using OpenELEC/Linux. Keep in mind though, that if you want to power on the NUC from sleep/poweroff state, you need to be able to send an MCE power command (scancode 0x800ff40c) regardless of the OS. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - macmus - 2014-04-14 i am not asking about linux configuration.. I will be running windows 8.1 as host system for my NUC. I want to be not only use xmbc but also all metro apps (maybe emulate cursor). What is best is not case ? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - mathgeek97 - 2014-04-14 How do I update the driver, in Openelec, for the Intel 7260 AC card? I thought it would be as simple as copying the newest version of iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode to /lib/firmware, but it's telling me that it's read only, despite the fact that I'm logged in as root (and the file is already +rw). The system partition is actually a single file on the hard drive and is not writable. If there's a new firmware of the card, I think it would be best to contact the developers of the wlan-firmware package. Check here: https://github.com/OpenELEC/wlan-firmware (you can also make a pull request I think, but if you've never used git that might be a bit of a hike. Alternatively you could create a feature request in OE github… I can see that iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode has actually been added there a month ago. Is there already a newer version of the same file? Which version of OE are you using? This discussion actually goes off topic, so let's continue it on OpenELEC forums better? http://openelec.tv/forum/88-wlan RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - nooryani84 - 2014-04-14 (2014-04-14, 09:56)macmus Wrote: i am not asking about linux configuration.. Not sure about the mouse... I just use Flirc, try to avoid using a mouse as I like things with tactile feedback. I.e. you can use them blindfolded. How about posting a debug log of the issue? setup: i5 with openElec alpha(feb.2014) i had this Problem With WMV HD file ... 3 GB file size over a Gigabit ethernet link from my NAS every seek -> 1-3sec waiting ... after a re-encoding to h.264 no problems ... mkv (with h.264 / mpeg4) also no problems PS: 20GB 4K movie files over network (h264) no problems with a delay or anything ... just smooth and instant RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - andreig1978 - 2014-04-15 Hi everyone, I finally got my NUC (34010) running the latest openelec (BETA 5) to suspend without waking up immediately. In my case echo GLAN > /proc/acpi/wakeup seems to do the trick (it disables the GLAN ACPI device from triggering wake up). As this setting does not survive a system start-up I added the above command to the autostart.sh script. Sorry if this is old news but I don't have the patience to go through this entire thread to check Best, Andrei RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - macmus - 2014-04-15 what about http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00224ZDFY/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 can i use build in irda with it ? what about: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Media-Remote/dp/B005FMLZQQ/ref=pd_bxgy_vg_img_y this can be used in build in netflix app in windows 8? Or it's better I will have EventGhosts for that? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - bustamelon - 2014-04-15 (2014-04-15, 20:16)andreig1978 Wrote: Hi everyone, Curious.
