RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - voip-ninja - 2014-08-14 (2014-08-14, 20:06)ratzofftoya Wrote:(2014-08-14, 17:10)voip-ninja Wrote:(2014-08-14, 15:50)JasonHoffman Wrote: A couple of weeks ago I installed Openelec fresh and didn't have to modify any scripts for the remote to work. The only change I made was enabling the "remote sends keyboard presses" option, but I don't know that it had anything to do with the remote working or not. Yes, I am using an MCE profile on a Logitech Harmony One. Interestingly several of these device profiles no longer work with the NUC but the "Media Center Extender" profile does. My understanding is that the new firmware WY0027.BIO fixes some NUC power on issues (although it actually caused mine to stop working till I started using a different device profile) ... and it's possible the xbox remote now works. It's also worth noting that back when my older profile was working, it would power the NUC up, but it would not then have IR control or power it off... that's why I had the above line in the autostart.sh, apparently OE was not setup to poll for and load the Nuvoton IR driver... I guess they've now fixed that. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - rzr.online.fr - 2014-08-15 If anyone cares here is a demo of xbmc running on NUC powered by Tizen and wayland : http://www.reddit.com/r/Tizen/comments/2dm1nx/use_xbmc_on_tizen_until_tizen_tv_are_on_sale/ Feedback welcome RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - solamnic - 2014-08-15 My Xbox Remote powers on / off my Nuc 34010 just fine.. also my logitech 300 does that.. (Media Center PC - Microsoft windows media center profile).. in windows i cant use info and guide button because Microsoft Media Center Pops up... any ideas on how to disable that? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - tgreg - 2014-08-16 Newb here. Not sure if this is the right place but I am going to build an Intel NUC and was wondering if there is anywhere that confirms that the memory module I'm looking at will work (other than posting here of course). Obviously there are a lot of variables ... Ddr3, 204 pins, 1.35v, 1600mhz, and so on ... the one I'm looking at is G.SKILL SL Series 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL11 1.35V SODIMM (F3-1600C11S-4GSL); in particular I'm not sure if some of the other things - eg latency, or timing - matter. tia. Two issues have been constant since i got it in feb. 1. when switching sources on my sharp hdtv - upon returning from the cable box source to the source the nuc is on, i get a weird snowy screen, i have to then restart the nuc to get it to show again.. ios this common and is there a fix? Secondly i have never got the ir to work.. is there an updated guide as to how to do that with 8.1 thanks in advance RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - jinkyjim - 2014-08-16 (2014-08-16, 11:01)noxy Wrote: Hey there have you tried the registry hack to get the remote working in win 8.1?...http://lifehacker.com/5465257/use-a-zune-remote-control-with-windows-media-center RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - Peppin - 2014-08-17 Did any of you managed / tried to use a Apple bluetooth keyboard + trackpad with the NUC? Is it by any means possible to pair those with the NUC running Openelec? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - mushoss - 2014-08-17 Can anyone tell me how to make my NUC boot to Kodi. And if it does can I just exit (shut down) Kodi to go back to Windows 8.1 if I need to. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - Crssi - 2014-08-17 Just use xbmclauncher and autologin. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - TheReef510 - 2014-08-19 I had a quick question: is the nuc able to do 24p playback + output DTS HD MA/ Dolby TrueHD without issue in Plex/XBMC now? I am vising my parents at home where all the A/V equipment predates HDMI so I dont have the testing capability here, but I have a HDMI receiver/tv at my own place, but that's 800 miles away. I want to get another i5 NUC to take back with me when I leave but I wanted to confirm whether this is still an issue. The first post in this thread (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php...355#pid1537355) says it is an issue, is this still accurate, RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - voip-ninja - 2014-08-19 (2014-08-19, 19:07)TheReef510 Wrote: I had a quick question: is the nuc able to do 24p playback + output DTS HD MA/ Dolby TrueHD without issue in Plex/XBMC now? 24p and HD audio working properly on NUC in XBMC/OpenElec.
