Smile When "Match Refresh Rate" is selected and you play a video with HD Audio, when you stop the video and return to the XBMC UI, the receiver still says "DTS-HD Master Audio" (or whatever the format was bitstreaming), but now no sound at all. You can recover by toggling audio settings in the Settings pages, but starting another video does not cause it to recover. The same does not appear to happen with videos with non-HD audio streams, and does not happen when "Match Refresh Rate" is unchecked.

Overall, not a huge burden for me, leaving the refresh rate at 59.95 works well enough for me, but I hope it can be fixed (along with the power management stuff which also doesn't bother me on such a low power device) so we can declare the NUC "perfect" for xbmc.

Denon here as well, and some other guy with the same problem had Denon also. Those Harman Kardon's with Spotify Connect looks more and more attractive now.

Anyways, won't leaving refresh at 59.95 suck with 24p material?

Thanks in advance.

Try and edit the registry with regedit and change the following line:

Code:
0c,00,00,00,04,00,16,\ ; [Power]         - Sends "S"

Change it to
Code:
0c,00,00,00,03,81,00,\ ; [Power]         - Sends "Shutdown" command

Thanks. You helped a lot.
But i changed
Code:
0c,00,00,00,03,82,00

instead of
Code:
0c,00,00,00,04,00,16
to
Code:
0c,00,00,00,03,81,00
& Power Toogle works now

You mean the OE 4.0 Nightlys?
The actual Kernel is 3.12 - https://www.kernel.org/

What is working/not working in OE? and what versions? Trying like heck to figure this out but info is scattered all over the place and reading 133 pages is excessive. Could anybody provide a run down of where they currently stand? thanks in adv

Hi Guys

Just received my i3-NUC and installed OE 3.2.4 on it.
But I have a strange issue. I'm using a Logitech K340 Keyboard which works okay in UEFI, but not in OE.

lsusb does show the receiver.
Code:
OpenELEC:~ # lsusb
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:8000 Intel Corp.
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 046d:c52b Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub

What i've heard is that OE has problems to detecting some keyboards when they are connected to a USB 3.0 Port (https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/issues/2745). With the new Haswell NUC there is no choice wheater to use a USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports.

Does anybody know a fix to get the keyboard working?

RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - -DDD- - 2013-12-20

Maybe you should try OE 4.0 Nighlys
Or try this: http://www.openelec.tv/forum/105-keyboards/58225-logitech-dinovo-mini-not-working?start=15#86252

Look at page one, it has been edited by Zag yesterday and is up to date,
if u´r looking for openelec take the latest Nightly set GUI Refresh Rate to 24p and DONT ENABLE
"Adjust display refresh rate to match video" then u should be good for now..

ps. My Impactics Case is on its way...yay Big Grin

RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - husky55 - 2013-12-20

Hey guys, need some help here. Installed win8.1 pro on my NUC i3. The HDMI sound was full of static. Of course xbmc is not playable. I originally set up the nuc on a monitor with no speakers. I now connected the nuc via hdmi to my Yamaha avr then hdmi to my tv. That's when I found out I have a sound problem. Replaced 3 hdmi cables, upgraded drivers etc... bios 22. Nothing seems to help.

RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - gamble - 2013-12-20

Do u have "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" in the Video Settings enabled if yes?

If yes deactivate it and set the GUI Refresh Rate to 24p in the System Settings, then repot back Smile

RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - Wingfat - 2013-12-20

Why must I have to RE-CALABRATE my overscan settings upon NUC reboot? This is beyond annoying.. is this a bug perhaps? Using latest nightly.

Otherwise, besides a few scraping quirks... I am vey happy coming from YAMJ.
