The icon not appearing doesn't mean that it won't work 'ever'. You need to respring / reboot (possibly a lot - 3/4 times for me). If that still doesn't work then try re-installing it, eventually it works :/
Seems to be a common problem with jailbroken apps, if ever so slightly more common with xbmc than other (jb) apps.

XBMC works fine on my mom's ipad but when she mirrors it onto her apple tv3, the video on her tv seems to freeze or drop often. Anyone having this problem and is there a fix? Have Frodo installed on her ipad.
