Currently when you watching live tv and press live tv remote button it almost takes 3 seconds to load tv channels or epg timeline. I have reduced the resolution from 1080 to 720p, I am using 512 pi with modest overclock 800, and using usb drive Is there something in the works to speed that up because the pvr actually works very well. How many channels? I have no performance issue with Myth, but I only have 7 (local OTA) channels in my EPG. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - denz - 2014-01-20 Hi allan87 I think there is about 14 channels so that is not a huge number but what I notice is that before the TV channels or epg shows up the live tv in the background goes blank than it restarts when the epg shows up. I thought it had something to do with refresh settings like it is switching resolutions. In win 7 Xbmc there are refresh settings but I couldn't find those settings in raspberry pi. I have tried different skins but they all exhibit the same behaviour result when there is no live TV playing in the background it is fine. I will do more investigating and see maybe there is something in the logs. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - Hip-Gnosis - 2014-01-20 I'm trying to figure out an issue I have with the latest builds whereby XBMC reports %100 CPU, even at idle. Running the 'top' command and I see that the CPU usage is actually between %12 and %90. I see that Lirc is sometimes using up to %96 cpu, and never less that %14. Is this normal? I don't use any kind of IR. Can I disable Lirc somehow? I have "audio output device" is set to analog, and I have checked "dual audio output". tnx, but dvdplayer somehow, didn't work, still only HDMI. I tried OMXplayer, which outputs sound to analog, but sadly refuses to play anything at all, most of the time. any suggestions? Try playing a music file with omxplayer and post a debug log if it fails. Do I have to modify advancedsettings.xml and/or config.txt? @MilhouseVH: I updated to your latest build, no as.xml - works fine, especially rew/ff. Great build, thanks! Only Videotext (Teletext) is appearing in wrong aspect ratio. For this, do I have to modify 'guires' to 720 in a new as.xml? You may need to enable 'advance' or expert' level settings to see this. Is it possible the ones that fail to play have artwork, and the working ones don't? Files, that have embedded artwork, fail to play.. On my phone, 95% of the mp3 files have artwork, so.. The Pi audio sink will support dual audio at some point. That's the best solution.
