RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - Mamukutty - 2013-09-14 Thanks rui RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - stuCONNERS - 2013-09-14 https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/82#issuecomment-23050850 well it`ll allow people to use a wider range of usb devices, especially HD usb devices, RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - popcornmix - 2013-09-14 (2013-09-14, 19:00)stuCONNERS Wrote: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/82#issuecomment-23050850 It is a nasty hack that reduces bandwidth and there is not much evidence that it helps. I'd like to hear from P33M whether it is good or not before recommending it. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - Mamukutty - 2013-09-15 i have 16gb img file how to write to 8gb sd card , can help me? Try this: http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/ It doesn't check the destination card size when writing, so as long as there's no actual used data beyond the 8GB mark (which, for OpenELEC, there usually isn't), you should be in business. I use USBIT alexpage.de/usb-image-tool/ In the options there is a checkbox for 'truncate over sized image'. (Need to be device mode, little drop down box volume mode/device mode) I think the best way is to first shrink the ext4 partition to ~7GB or less, then make image, that way you can truncate it. ----- Pretty stoked to try 3.2, thank you RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - Wanderlei - 2013-09-15 When I updated to 3.2 from 3.0.6 after it rebooted it says 'kernal panic - not syncing - attempt to kill init'. Edit - I got 3.2 image from thestatofme.com and replaced the FAT partition and its all good. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - Wanderlei - 2013-09-15 WOW 3.2 is really really really fast. The boot time is insanely fast, menus are faster, starting media is faster, its incredible. The issue I had with (2013-09-11, 12:49)Wanderlei Wrote: I get speaker popping when I first start to play something now I have R-Pi connected directly to receiver/amp. Seems to have disappeared as far as I can tell. (Which is good news for me because I had the amp booked in for warranty repair and I had to drive to another city to drop it off.) RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - Dam0 - 2013-09-15 i have followed the links to the builds done by Rbej, howerever the file called "Rbej-Version-Frodo-Branch and dated 13/09/2013 opens in a folder with gotham. i guess this is strange, but more importantly, i guess a better question would be; which build branch do most users run? Gotham 13 or Frodo 12.2 ? thx for reading, D. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - nuttypro69 - 2013-09-15 I use Frodo ,Gotham still gives me network share error once in awhile RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - rbej - 2013-09-15 Updated Frodo Branch - [rbp/omxplayer] Only apply boost centre to multichannel audio - [rbp/omxplayer] Avoid losing volume changes when amplification is disabled - Speedup for opening music song library - Faster sorting of CFileItemLists http://netlir.dk/rbej/builds/ http://lysin.me/rbej RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - nuttypro69 - 2013-09-15 Thank you rbei you really have turn my Pi to my #1 box OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - kreeturez - 2013-09-15 (2013-09-15, 16:30)rbej Wrote: Updated Frodo Branch Subfolder in this archive says Gotham: can I confirm its definitely Frodo?
