Shared library but not shared profile? - Greegoor - 2014-01-30

Hi,

we are currently thinking about using XBMC with our NAS. What we would want it to do is provide the videos and also the library (with posters and everything), so that no client has to index everything himself all over again. Also that should keep an Android client clean of all those big posters and stuff.
What should be set on a profile basis are things like the 'watched' flags.

Is all this possible when using the following guide?

Regards

XBMC doesn't use an external library so each head end would have a complete catalogue of your posters, fanart and meta-data although the source of the media can be a community pool. The link you provided is to synchronize and share the libraries between multiple XBMC. Creating 'profiles' for each user would allow for individual 'watched' flags.

Thanks for the info and for the link. Just in case I'm not getting this right:
There is no way to share posters? I think I should fork XBMC :p
