RE: Bay Trail-D motherboards - pszab - 2014-05-22

Does anyone know Bay Trail can play BD3D or not?
Intel page says cpus don't have intru 3d. E.g http://ark.intel.com/products/78867/Intel-Celeron-Processor-J1900-2M-Cache-up-to-2_42-GHz?q=j190
Thanks

Here they says they can: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034162.htm
Quote:Intel InTru 3D Technology is supported by the following products:
Intel® Pentium™ & Celeron™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics (formerly codenamed Bay Trail)

Yeah, I know Big Grin Serious quality...
What is the truth?

I would ask Intel, they should correct it Smile

The first question was "can I try this myself somehow on my distribution?". The second was "Will this be kept OE-specific if it is successful ?".

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Yes - if we get it working reliable, it could be a nice addition to the swfilter, especially for low powered hw. But some performance issues need to be worked out - and of course - it does not yet run on HSW cause of driver bugs. After that we will see. Though a whole lot needs to be done to get 1080i50 in correct quality from that device. For Bob alone it's not worth it.

This is the case I ended up putting my Q1900-ITX into. It's the Realan E-Q8. The pictures don't do it justice.

I've already asked it, but they haven't corrected...

And what did they say which site is wrong?

"TM-ITX" stands for Thin MINI-ITX so my guess that it will be a very similar mobo to Q1900B-ITX when it comes to specs, just with a low profile (low heatsink, sideways ram placement like in laptops) setup.

And fewer USB ports, probably no digital audio out, ...the kind of thing that fits nicely in an all-in-one barebone but with little flexibility.

Yep, I do not think its worth for the DIY community unless its much cheaper than the Q1900B/Q1900-ITX models.

Some of us with thin mini-ITX cases think it's worth it Smile
