Possible Master Volume control/OSD without explorer as shell. - xxnumbxx - 2014-02-09 I have been trying all day to get master volume to be controlled via a mhome driver/mce remote with xbmclauncher as shell instead of explorer. Apparently Microsoft requires explorer.exe to be active in order to control system volume. I have attempted to use eventghost, ahk and the Realtek HD Audio Manager to control volume without success. I have had some success using http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/18520/Vista-Core-Audio-API-Master-Volume-Control to control audio but there is no way to connect this to my remote and the core audio api is beyond my ablities to combine into a useful program.. Does anyone know of a program that allows the control of system volume without dependency on explorer.exe or another method to get this working. Sorry if this has been posted before but, I could not find a solution via search. |
