BobLight for Dummies - blossom24 - 2014-02-12
Hi,
I am wondering if there are instructions for setting up boblight suitable for dummies.
I read the Official XBMC boblight Addon pages, but frankly it made no sense to me... and not all the links on that page work. (of course I didn't read all 103 pages)
For example,
What hardware do I need eg... lights, controllers...Is this something that I buy off the shelf? or do I have to build it?
How do I connect it? Do I plug it into a USB?? and similar questions...

I do not know what kind of TV you have, but I can let you know, how my setup looks like with a 40":

1* http://www.adafruit.com/products/276 (I used a German version with 20W 5V/4A)
1x http://www.adafruit.com/products/578
Then I followed the guide rome mentioned above.
If you use RPi instead of a HTPC your setup would be different. Then you won't use the ardino board...
