question if anyone knows if this works - Madaero - 2014-03-07
I travel a lot for work and want to watch my movies I have at home.
I have a HTPC that sits under my tv that HDMI out to the tv.
I also have a Unraid media server that stores all my movies
is there a way to connect a Slingbox 500 to the HTPC that will then let me watch my movies over internet from a hotel or someplace other than home.

There are many different ways to view your content on the go. You have to do some research and try things out. The easiest methods, IME, are unfortunately not XBMC based. Plex does a server/client setup very well.
