8.1 HTPC budget processor - jomak - 2014-03-09
I have been reading up on PC HW. I have a 128GB SSD for boot and 2 x 4GB DDR3-1600 thus far. I need advice on a processor hoping under $100. I was reading about AMD Kaveri, but that seems over kill as I don't plan to game. I am just going to browse and use this for a HTPC and free cable DVR. So, price being a factor that lead me to AMD. I was looking at a AMD-A6 5400K Trinity but I am not sure that will cut it.
What are my best options for price and performance?
