RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - c0mm0n - 2014-06-29 Nice job thanks jocala. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - segma98 - 2014-06-30 (2014-06-29, 02:32)jocala Wrote: adbFire is a companion program for Android XBMC, (13.X Gotham and later only). It allows you to install XBMC and other apps to your Android device without the hassle of downloading the Android SDK. there might be a problem with mac package. when i download and mount it, it opens up into folders, files and the adb app, unlike the previous version where i get adbfire and i can just move it to application folder Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - Canyaya - 2014-06-30 If your using safari, make sure you disable "open files automatically". I'm paraphrasing since I'm not in front of the computer. Or use chrome or Firefox. Safari will open zipped files by default. I just downloaded it to check and i didn't see this behavior. There may be some edge behavior, if this is repeatable elsewhere or if you can repeat it, please let me know. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - Rodbrazil - 2014-06-30 Awesome! RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - jocala - 2014-06-30 OS X bug adbFire beta 3: throws error when Root Fire TV is pressed. Temp fix: 1. I'd like to know too if so RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - ktrdsl23 - 2014-06-30 Been away for a while. Updated the first post with some more relevant information. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - mjbxx - 2014-07-01 Giving a shout to elmerohueso and his [LAUNCHER] XBMC for Fire TV (Root), http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2790392. This launcher brings everything to XBMC as the home screen, including access to Amazon content. It is way more intuitive and convenient than the Fire TV launcher. No more having to basically view Amazon only content on the home screen. Priceless! RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - ktrdsl23 - 2014-07-01 I'm trying to follow the wiki to do the Xposed and rbox module but am struggling on the sideload XBMC launcher as it takes me to the Google Play store on my browser. Where is the .apk for this so I can sideload it? Thanks. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - Swaggarwal - 2014-07-01 So it turns out the USB ports on my ISP-supplied router have been disabled at the firmware level, which makes my situation a little trickier than I initially envisioned. While within the next year I will be buying a full-fledged Synology NAS to share all my media wirelessly to XBMC clients, right now I do not have a NAS. Instead, I have a large WD MyBook external USB storage drive. I want to be able to share the files on this drive to all other XBMC clients and laptops in the house. From what I've read, a Raspberry Pi would be able to handle this. I was wondering if the Amazon Fire TV has been sufficiently hacked as of yet to allow this. I will also be running XBMC on the Fire TV. FiredTV is a great alternative to KFTV launcher. But it does not have the UI eye candy and functionality that XBMC affords with the Amber skin that I use. The FiredTV UI basically gives a standard Android app listing phone look. It was a great alternative for me initially but the [LAUNCHER] XBMC for Fire TV (Root), http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2790392, is miles better and I do not plan on looking back.
