Error updating to gotham release - biGdada - 2014-05-04

Hi.
I'm getting the following error after updating to gotham release

dpkg -i *xbmc*.deb
(Reading database ... 7212 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 13.0-0 (using org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2_13.0-0_iphoneos-arm.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 ...
Setting up org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 (13.0-0) ...
cp: cannot create regular file `/private/var/mobile/Library/Caches/AppleTV/MainMenu/[email protected]': No such file or directory

I have the same issue. I don't know if it is because I am running an old version of the ATV2 software but after restarting it looks like everything is working fine.

Forgot to mention, i'm on ios 4.3 (4.2.1).
Probably this is the reason.

reboot the atv2 and ignore the error ... its related to ios 4.3 i guess - we don't have those for testing anymore ...

Since you have little to lose at this point, and I doubt it would hurt anything, try making that directory manually:

Code:
mkdir /private/var/mobile/Library/Caches/AppleTV/MainMenu/

Then try to install/upgrade again.

Ned,
I'm not sure it's needed, it seems like XBMC works ok despite the error.

Ah, fantastic

just so you know. Creating the directory fixed the error for me.

ATV 4.2.2. (2203)
