Changing OSD menu auto-hide time - wolfik - 2014-05-24 I have the latest XBMC v13 with Aeon MQ and I was wondering if there is a way to change the time after which the OSD menu (video seekbar+controls) disappears? When I move the mouse during playback the OSD menu is shown for 8 seconds and then fades out. IMHO, 8 seconds is unnecessary. With other players I am used to 1 or 2 seconds. I spent hours googling and searching and can't find a way to change it. Can anyone help? RE: Changing OSD menu auto-hide time - jmarshall - 2014-05-25 It's 3 seconds after the mouse becomes inactive, which itself takes 3-5 seconds. And no, this is not configurable. After I stop moving the mouse it takes 8 seconds exactly for the menu to hide. Are you saying that none of those 2 times are user customizable? Would it make sense to make it a feature request for future versions? RE: Changing OSD menu auto-hide time - jmarshall - 2014-05-26 I'm saying it takes a certain period of time until the mouse pointer vanishes, and then 3 seconds after that the OSD will hide. Neither of these are customisable. I doubt you'll get all that many developers jumping at the chance to add customisation here, so set your expectations accordingly |
