Not yet! This is quite difficult. I'm working on it for the next official release.

Thanks

RE: Black Glass Nova 1.2 - Gotham - vimarbla - 2014-06-03

Hi Tgx,

Would it be possible to add a "big pause" (icon or text), when a video is paused?
Or as an option to activate or not. I don't know if in general people likes this effect or not.
And always of course if you like the idea.

Thanks in any case!

I could add an option to display big icons in the middle of the screen or in the top left corner when the video is paused, is fast forwarding, rewinding...

What do you think? In the middle or in a corner?

Thanks

Tgx

Thanks Tgx, as you prefer.
Personally I like the big paused icon in the middle of the screen, but if you want to wait for more opinions...
Forwarding and rewinding are less significant for me. What you decide will be good.

I like the skin but the vertical menu scrolls. I have "use fixed list on home menu" but the items still scroll. Any ideas how i can fix it?

Hello Tgx,

I love this skin and I follow your good work regularly.

But I'm a little frustrated because I can not use my cdArts database.

Do you plan to integrate this option in your roadmap ?

Is there any skin which integrates this feature, so that i can see it in action?

Thanks

Tgx

Now that the "architectural" side of the skin has finished and settled down, i can begin adding support for new addons and features such as: clear art, cd art, extra fanart, next aired, actors metadata, tv shows logos, artwork downloader...

Stay tuned!

RE: Black Glass Nova 1.2 - Gotham - gtelliott - 2014-06-11

I have been an enthusiastic user of xbmc since Eden, and have tried pretty much every skin that has developed. In my opinion, BGN is far and away the best and I thank you for developing it. I noticed you posted in an earlier thread that the skin had been updated to include the ability to display media logos for "3D" titles, etc. I had been using AEON MQ 5 for some time, and had set up my file naming so that it would pick up whether media was DVD, Blu-ray or "3D Bluray", and it worked so that titles in the library would be distinguished by the color of the case and a brand on the case for DVD, Blu-ray or 3D Blu-ray". Using BGN, I can't get it to display any of the media types. Tried renaming folders and files, editing the nfo's and xmls. Nothing.

Is only an issue because for most of my 3D titles, I also have the title included in 2D (in case somebody wants to watch without the glasses). I either have to review the file path to see which it is, or launch the title to see if it is 3D or 2D. I suspect it may be because I am not selecting the correct method for XBMC to scan the files into the library using BGN, but don't know what is different between BGN and MQ5. My file name protocol for the 3D's is, now: D:/3D Bluray/Moviename [3dbd]/moviename.bluray.3dbd.iso. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

The skin shows the 3d badge only when XBMC detects the file is stereoscopic. It seems this is not 100% failure proof.
So in the latest revision i added a different detection algorithm. When the file name contains ".3d." or ".3dbd.", the skin shows the 3d badge.
Regarding media types, the skin still does not distinguish between DVD, BluRay.
I'm going to add new badges for media types in the next release.

The Ace skin's vertical menu doesn't scroll. I can see the usefulness of a scrolling menu if there are that many items, but menus that have less than the viewing area of items, the scroll makes it a bit more difficult to click.

I created a screen capture showing the differences between BGN and Ace menus.

http://digichine.com/menus.zip

You can see in the video how in BGN the menu moves when trying to click something where in Ace it sits still.

Ok i got it. Sorry could not focus the problem before. I usually do not use a mouse with xbmc.
I'm working on it.

Thanks
