RE: 1080XF v3.0.1-RC for Kodi 14.x (2014-12-05) - Piers - 2014-12-04

Updated version, ALOT of fixes, bumped to RC.

I'll take a look into that, it's not high up on the list at the moment but it certainly needs fixing. Thank you for letting me know Smile

Nice Piers! Could you also give the next aired icons some love? (they're already in your skin: back arrow, play and + icons)

RE: 1080XF v3.0.1-RC for Kodi 14.x (2014-12-05) - patseguin - 2014-12-04

I looked at this last night but I couldn't find a way to show buttons for my smart playlists instead of just movies. Is it possible to disable movies and show my smartlists instead?

What scripts are needed to get the home screen stuff to populate? I've got a clean Kodi 14 RC2 install and I'm not getting anything populated.

That's annoying, here's a list:

service.skin.widgets
script.artwork.downloader
script.tv.show.next.aired
script.tvtunes
script.globalsearch
script.favourites
script.artistslideshow
script.videolanguage
script.randomandlastitems

The main one you should need is skin widgets and a couple of others - on the phone as typing this.

as goldenpipes mentions below, installing from the zip should trigger add-ons to be installed.

try installing the skin via install from zip file.

works for me.

Yep, it does. Might be worth adding that to first post so people don't extract it manually like me Smile

RE: 1080XF v3.0.1-RC for Kodi 14.x (2014-12-05) - Piers - 2014-12-05

Updated the first post entirely to make it more helpful.

RE: 1080XF v3.0.1-RC for Kodi 14.x (2014-12-05) - Piers - 2014-12-05

(removed as I've fixed the existing weather layout to work with other providers)

RE: 1080XF v3.0.1-RC for Kodi 14.x (2014-12-05) - Hustler1337 - 2014-12-05

Thanks for your continued updates and refinements Piers.

Guys, what's the easiest way to update the skin? Do I have to uninstall and remove the skin then load the zip file or can I just overwrite the existing skin with the zip file without removing the older skin?

Thanks.

RE: 1080XF v3.0.1-RC for Kodi 14.x (2014-12-05) - TwistedisAGod - 2014-12-06

Just wondering what size i should make Home Screen Icons?

Since I don't have a repo and this isn't an official skin, it's unlikely you'll see my version (Xperience1080 or 1080XF) in any repo, although that would be nice. At the moment I advise to download new versions and overwrite content from:

/media
/1080i

as well as addon.xml

You can leave the rest of the files alone as there won't be more changes (apart from /extras at a later date).

512x512 will work, I made a thread with a large pack of icons for various services. You can also use my website - metroicon.net in order to get logos etc.

RE: 1080XF 3.1.0 for Kodi 14.x (2014-12-06) - pizzaboy - 2014-12-06

Just installed Helix RC2 and your skin. Great work!

I have only two issues:

1. Does the TV Channel overlay in Live-TV supposed to have a transparent background? The white text is very hard to read like this.

2. could you incorporate the filename of the playing movie in the subtitle download dialog? Sometimes there are different releases of a movie and you have to choose the right subtitle for it.

thanks for keeping this great skin alive!

1) Since I don't have a PVR, I can only use the test PVR - this is limited. If you could take a screenshot it would help.

2) There isn't room without it looking a mess or removing the plot. I'm going to assume, when you say "releases", you're talking about pirated content.
