!?!?!?

I had already read the answer. But I did not remember what I need to do exactly.
So here again: 1080XF has probably no sound.
Where have I to copy sound files and which xml have I to customize?

Sorry about that, I actually meant to move the posts but ended up accidentally deleting them. It's not an action I approve of and I really didn't mean to do it. Again, sorry.

I've found a missing overlay.

When playing video you can open the information about the codec used and some other infos like to see on this photo

But when playing music and pressing the key for the information, the little overlay with the time and estimated time in the upper right corner disappears but no info about the used codec or bitrate is shown.

Is it to early to ask about the 1080LF? I'm very curious... Smile

Fixed in the next update.

Two changes I'd love to see though...
...while being in the OSD-View:
1. While changing the volume it would be nice to see a additional "slider" in percent of the volume-state (like the one if you're on the homescreen... that circle one ^^)
2. Notification don't seem to be displayed correctly? (I guess? o.O) sometimes I see them but without the specified Icon (if i see them they've got the default info-icon) but most of the time I can't see the notification's at all

The second one is the most important one for me (being the developer of an android app called xbmcnotify which essentially allows to forward android-notifications to xbmc)
Even though the app may currently not work on some android-versions / kodi-versions I'm working hard on a new version and obviously it would be great to see thous notification on kodi again Big Grin

Just my two cents ^^

Keep up that great work Wink

p.s. sorry for that "product placement" but, for me, it was kinda necessary to fulfill the need of the second point Big Grin

1. Can you explain more? The volume control is universal.
2. Do you have a screenshot? I haven't seen this so an keen to see what you mean.

ps: I'm one of the people who's used your app - nice work.

This screen is looping with graphics failures, as you can see in the part of ABBRECHEN.
I just hit enter and come to the overview for films and series, but i think this is not the way it has to work.

I'm guessing you're an AMD user. That's a known issue and won't be fixed soon. I asked about it around a year ago and it's to do with the texturepacker + multiples of 4 being required for sizes. When I download this skin from the repo the xbt comes with it, you're welcome to use the image (drop them into the /media directory) and that fixes the issue.... at least on three ranges of AMD cards I use. You can get the textures from the link in the customisation thread.

EDIT: Noticed it was mentioned earlier in this thread, but it wasn't clear whether it was known why. I can confirm that RSS definitely makes it stop working for me.

Can also confirm this.

Also, not specifically related to this skin, has anyone been having issues with the OpenWeatherMap Extended weather add-on? I've noticed that the add-on doesn't work despite it being included with the skin, getting a 'script failed' error, nor does the MetOffice add-on work either on any skin. The only one that seems to work is the Yahoo! weather add-on. Thanks Wink

I'm working on the RSS issue - I actually can't find a reason why it's not allowing a click, the control is there. I never use RSS so haven't noticed before - will keep working on it.

RE: OpenWeatherMap Extended - I'm noticing this on ALL skins, not just this one. I've even taken a copy of Confluence and edited the title - so no changes and the problem is still there. As far as 'script failed' errors, not much I can do about that. It's been removed from the requirements list. Yahoo! and other weather services do work with the skin, but you won't get the full layout which was previously supported only by Wunderground and now OpenWeatherMap.

Thanks Piers, appreciate your effort into this skin and continuous updates.

I've noticed a couple of potential minor bugs in the skin:

1. Clicking on 'Subtitle add-on' in the skin settings does not do anything:

Image

2. Not sure if this is intended but when viewing TV Show Information for a particular TV show, the 'Unwatched Episodes' does not seem to be updated:

Image

I thought the value should be '2' as displayed here:

Image

EDIT: I've noticed that if there are zero unwatched episodes for a particular TV show, the 'Unwatched Episodes' is completely omitted from the TV Show Information screen, so that part is working correctly.

Hope that helps.

1) Yep, that's being removed as it's no longer required.
2+3) Thank you for letting me know, I'll look into it with a fix to be issued in a future update.

Would like to see this as well... but of course it should be optional.
It could be just 8 panels like the current application tab.

But i wonder if a showcase feature for latest added games like in the movies/tvshow tab would be possible in combination with advanced launcher?

Anyway great work and thank you very much, im very happy to see this skin updated again. It was the number one reason for me to update my openelec system to 5.0 (Kodi).

No customisation support in this thread, please read prior posts. Thank you for the comment.

I found a suitable movie icon but it would be nice to have a selection of matching icons in the skin. Again great work! This is probably the most original and feature filled skin around! Any chance of a cover flow view and/or maybe even bluray cases?

I'm not understanding, if you add a new tile on the home screen - no matter which section - you're getting the default icon for music? As for a set of icons, I opened metroicon.net for that purpose and I could include a directory within the skin for icons specific to types if it's deemed to be a good idea.

Someone else has these round corners in series banners?
So i see the default white backround edges.

Which version is that?

I've just sent v3.40.55 to the repository, it changes the following:
- Lower right weather and time now have a new layout with a clock icon. It works with both 12 and 24 layouts (sorry about the previous alignment problem)
- Music codec information is displayed when pressing 'o' during playback, for all conditions.
- Removal of non-required subtitle option from the Skin Settings menu
- Sounds. I've added a universal sound that fits in with the skin, it's simple but took far too long to make and get right.
- Icon, not really news but it's changed.
- A few other small fixes.

Currently working on:
- Playlist functionality for home screen widgets
- Possible new layout for Live TV section on the home screen

This skin will stay true to the original, with a few additions. Each change is made to ensure support for as many setups/languages as possible. If you decide to rate the skin 1/5, it would be nice if you let me know why.

Anyway, the skin should update today or tomorrow - depending on the time.

Hi Piers,

since Live TV is an important part of Kodi for me, I would love to see more of your plans regarding "Possible new layout for Live TV section on the home screen".

Yes, I'm being stupid and not seeing the issue - I'll re-check the version of the YT add-on I have installed.

It's something I'm playing with, but the priority is to fix any remaining issues. Once that's completed then I can continue work on the Kodi 15.x version and 1080LF. I'm sorting of doing all at the same time.

Only the home screen option will change, possibly. Like I said, I'm playing around with the idea.

Yt plugin changed completly - new rewritten version is 5.0 it auto-updates over the old one. Check out the thread in the video plugin section of this board.

I fixed it myself.

Replace any call to the youtube plug-in in "Includes_HomeWidget.xml" with this string:

plugin://plugin.video.youtube/kodion/search/query/?q=, trailer

Hello,

I'm new to Kodi so please pardon my ignorance. I've just setup Kodi on linux, but having problems installing only this theme...nothing happens. How can I sideload this skin? Any downloads to the latest version?

Many thanks.

Thank you for releasing this amazing skin Piers. I've noticed one small issue:

There seems to be a debug text operating on the top left of the screen. Here's a screenshot:

Image

It appears and the values change every time I change screens etc, so it's live. Maybe you accidentally forgot to disable it?

Hope that helps and thanks once again for releasing this skin as soon as you could. Looking forward to your further updates. Wink

Running Kodi Helix 14.0 RC1 on the Amazon Fire TV.

I'll do a new release to fix that!
EDIT: New download link on main page for v2.1.1 - fixes debug text displaying. Sorry about that.

Running version 3.40.55, the debug text is appearing in the top left corner (same as Piers, above).

Eg, Window:addoninformation (DialogAddonInfo.xml) Mouse: (0,0) Focused: 20 (button)

I don't see a switch in settings to disable it. Help?

Love the skin. Far and away the most functional and best / cleanest looking I've used.

Just wanted to say this is an awesome skin! I have run into an issue though on Kodiv V14.0 Helix. On the home page at the top I have a text overlay that says:

Window: home (Home.xml) Mouse: (0,0) Focused: 2021 (button)

Anyone have an idea why this appears? The description changes on different screens as well. Does anyone have a solution?

thanks!
