Textures.xbt problem - Piers - 2014-06-26

I've just packed all textures in the xbt format, whilst it appears to mostly work... this is the result:

Anyone have any ideas?

side note: why is the forum taking 10+ seconds to load?

RE: Textures.xbt problem - Hitcher - 2014-06-26

I've been getting that a lot lately but refreshing the skin a few times sorts it out.

RE: Textures.xbt problem - Piers - 2014-06-26

I've tried that, but it persists. Here's another three examples:

This is what I get and it takes a few refreshes to correct.

Thank you for the replies and screens Hitcher, I've put the modded skin I've been working on up to download (80% completed). I've said that textures may be a problem, but it's only a beta.

My knowledge is very lacking in this area so I'll hope for a fix to to texturepacker.

Side note: I really do love how 1600 texture files can be reduced down to one 2.94 MB xbt file.

Quick question: are all the textures heigths and widths multiples of 4 ?

Not as far as I'm aware, is that a requirement for packing the textures into a xbt?

Maybe is related to this...

It's not a GPU issue. Unless xbt does something totally obscure with all the files which makes it near impossible for three different AMD cards to display it correctly (5000, 6000 and 7000 series). Also the issues only show when using the packed textures, not when using image only textures.

Maybe?

I must have skipped past that part, I'm using the same dimensions `Black used for Xperience1080.

RE: Textures.xbt problem - MassIV - 2014-06-30

I thought the 4x4 resolution was just a minimum (actually thought it was 8x8). Stretching textures below that size would get this opacity gradient bug.
And that multiples of 4 textures were to reduce the use of graphics memory on certain (old?) videocards.
It's also not until you use xbt that image names become case sensitive as far as i can tell.

Similar threads point to a GPU / driver involvement. Some successes reported with reverting drivers.
Does hint to a problem between xbt and AMD.

RE: Textures.xbt problem - Maxoo - 2014-06-30

@Hitcher : are you using amd too ?

RE: Textures.xbt problem - Hitcher - 2014-06-30

Yep, Radeon HD 5450.

RE: Textures.xbt problem - `Black - 2014-06-30

Looks indeed like a driver issue... I have no problems here (nvidia on my dev machine and intel hd4000 on my htpc).
