Hello
I have acknowledged that windows xp is out dated at this point of this time.
I've just install xbmc 10.1 and on the boot it shows half of the xbmc logo the after 2-8 seconds it just exits the programme.Recently i have installed the version:12.3 and there is no slight improvement
PC SPECS:windows xp service pack 2
Intel pentuim 4
1GB RAM

More than likely the system is challenged graphically, check out the hardware requirements in the wiki's. Truly if you want an economical set-up with old equipment, consider a linux install, you might get lucky.

A P4 with 1GB ram will run Windows 7, if you really want to stick with that.
