installation issue - podocnemus - 2014-07-12
Hi,
Just tried to install xbmc onto my system, linux mint 15 olivia.
Followed instructions on internet page and seemed to have gone well.
Icon on startup menu. But when starting to load the front title appears and then dissappears and returns to linux mint front page. Not a clue where to start here. Any ideas?

Install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and use the ppa we provide.
Read the "Before you post" thread and provide everything it wants.

Many thanks was unable install standard ubuntu in this computer. please remove me from members list. I dont have enough skills to know what to do.

1. Your version of Linux Mint is old, you should upgrade it to the latest one (version 17)
2. Check out the wiki on how to install XBMC on Linux/Ubuntu, it'll tell you what you need to do to get the latest official builds.
Doing both of the above will most likely solve your issue.
