If Rename a File don't search THE TVDB again - DJWatson - 2014-07-23

If I rename a Filename XBMC starts a new search in THE TVDB and loads the Images again instead to look on the Harddrive if eventually the Filename has Changed?. That costs a much of Time.

Sorry for the Bad EnglishAngel

If you rename a video file then XBMC will see it as a new entry. XBMC doesn't have any method to track what the new name is, so it doesn't really have another option than to add it again. If you "clean library" then the old entry will be removed and you will only have one entry.
