Add-on "Store" - Ic3y - 2014-08-27
Maybe "Store" isn't the right word since money isn't exchanged, but I suggest rethinking the Add-on experience more like Apple's App Store or Google's Marketplace.
The main strength of Apple / Google are the different apps they can run that customize their experience to fit their individual needs and the program as a whole becomes much more.
Right now it's not very intuitive for a new user to know how to navigate the Add-on section. Once you've done it a few times you figure it out, but most people give up by then. It's mainly us techies that persist.
Current Cons:
- Too many confusing categories to finally find the addon you want
- Having to find & download 3rd party repos. (Provide list of available 3rd party repos to download ?)
I'll post some mockups later to better help visualize.

We know and have enough ideas, there's just to little time to do it.
Also we will not let any third party repositories inside xbmc/kodi. Devs should be persuaded to add it to our repo

There is a whole page in wiki about 3rd_party_repos (wiki), Very easy to find I thought.
