Is it possible to view local usa channels on windows PC - surfingsheep - 2014-09-19
I have been trying to figure out how to watch live tv with local stations (philly area). As far as I can tell I would have to install a tv tuner board which is out of my league. Are there any others ways?

Of course you need a tv tuner to watch live TV.

Here is one option.
1. Set up a free account with ustvnow.com
2. Install the ustvnow video add on
3. Stream the free pittsburgh locals ustvnow provides.
It's not philly, but it's live over the air tv.
