Single vs dual channel memory for IGP - fsonnlei - 2014-09-23 Hi all. Does it matter (affects) gpu performance if I use single vs dual channel memory? In my country there is a good offer on an J1900 Bay trail but it has just 1 sodimm available. The main use will be just openelec (no 3d) to watch 1080p encoded in MPEG2, H264 and VC1 (mostly ripped blurays). What about upscaling (not deinterlacing)? I read the thread about bay trail motherboards but I think is not conclusive regarding memory bandwidth. Thanks Frank RE: Single vs dual channel memory for IGP - RaggSokk3n - 2014-09-23 The j1900 soc and the amd equivalent am1 both support single channel. From my testing the systems aren't powerful enough to take advantage of dual channel anyway.
