Single vs dual channel memory for IGP - fsonnlei - 2014-09-23

Hi all.

Does it matter (affects) gpu performance if I use single vs dual channel memory? In my country there is a good offer on an J1900 Bay trail but it has just 1 sodimm available.
The main use will be just openelec (no 3d) to watch 1080p encoded in MPEG2, H264 and VC1 (mostly ripped blurays). What about upscaling (not deinterlacing)?

I read the thread about bay trail motherboards but I think is not conclusive regarding memory bandwidth.

Thanks
Frank

The j1900 soc and the amd equivalent am1 both support single channel. From my testing the systems aren't powerful enough to take advantage of dual channel anyway.
