hello everyone I'm new here, ill start by saying I'm not great with the tech on these things I'm unsure what vpn is etc.. but i just need to be guided though things, my problem is i live outside the uk but i can't access a tv catch up i like to catch up on program like x factor, though the keyhole etc but obviously she when i try an use catch up it says I'm not within a uk ip address. is there any way i can watch these channels on my xvmc box? it was bought for me as a present . my box is linus inside. v12 frodo if thats any help? thanks in advance

Yes, you need to setup a vpn in which the tunnel end is located in the UK. You can uses proxies as well but they are unreliable.
Search for VPN's in the UK. Then search for how to setup a VPN on linux.
PS. You might want to try to use a bit better grammar so it make it easier for us to help you.

ok ill search for that, to get a vpn is it a payment on subscription ? or just a download?
