Have XBMC turn off lights with usb-uirt? - OtherJonny - 2014-09-26

Ive been googling about for the past couple days and cannot seem to find an answer. Basically, i want to know how to have XBMC send an IR command using my USB-UIRT to my Lutron light controller when I start playback and when i stop. Im on windows running xbmc gotham 13.2.

Can you access/trigger it with bash script for example?
If so write a simple addon that kicks script on playback

Unfortunately, I'm not savvy enough to make scripts :/.
an example would be appreciated.

I'm also running event ghost to receive IR commands. It would be a lot simpler if event ghost could read the events that trigger in xbmc, then I could just bind it to a transmit IR command.
