User and Developer Mailing Lists - steelhouse - 2014-10-22

Does such a thing exist?

I rarely find free software project without a mailing list.

Is this the case with Kodi?

All users and all developers are on the web forum and there exists no mailing lists or newsgroups?Wink

Mailing lists are so 90s, and newsgroups are so 80s. Welcome to the 21st century!

just as heads up: dev discussion on code or implementation level is done on github. General dev questions are handled via the forum or if both devs are in IRC it will be done there.

I used to use mailing lists for other opensource projects, but those became pretty dead compared to some years ago

Maybe you should use more the "Team Member Feature Discussion (read-only)" session. It's kind of abandoned and it's a pity..

Well since we worked on 14 it was all about more stable and the name change. Once that's done I'm sure some things will start again
