Tested it too and compared it with my HTPC. No blurriness. So this tells me the Vidon is NOT upscaling. Al least not in my setup.
perhaps you could do the same tests trigu did in post 343 and post your results. That would be more definitive I think http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=207004&pid=1860428#pid1860428

I have no idea how to do this on this Android box.

I have tried 3 different hdmi cable. Shortest was 0,75m. No difference, still 2D only. I have ordered a 0,5m cable now. I will try on Monday, but I don't think it's an issue with the hdmi cable.

This might seem like it doesn't make sense, but have a go - this might work.

In XBMC, the output of the movie seems to be the at the resolution of the actual file (as it should be - on my projector it flicks over to the 1080 24p setting and Frame Packing for my 3d Bluray Isos). However, I have no idea why, but in the settings menu if I change the resolution to something other than 1080 24p (which is the ui resolution), when I go back in to XBMC and try to play a 3d bluray iso, the file is played back in 2D (even though the resolution on the projector says 1080 24p). If I switch back to the 1080 24p setting in the main menu and then go back into XBMC, it plays back in 3d (frame packing 1080 24p)

Check to see if your UI setting is 1080 24p and if that makes it work.

OK, that's it. The third-party skins will cause this problem. We need to solve it.

Thank you, Trigu75

RE: Latest VidOn Box Impressions - movie78 - 2014-12-15

First taught are watching a couple of 3D Bluray movies this weekend.

Streaming a couple of 3D Bluray ISO with no buffering issue.

Bug:One of the this i notice was when a Bluray Disc contain both 2D/3D,the movie always plays in 2D.

Very impressed with latest update,it look like the VidOn box is only going to get better and better.

I have tested 3 Android device
M-195
MXQ S805
VidOn

So far the Vidon is the best Android device.

Just curious, were you streaming using SMB or NFS? What type of NAS are you using?
I can't get a fluent experience over SMB streaming from a Windows share.

I noticed that in VIDON XBMC i was not able to get 3D when using the menu option but when I choose to play only the movie it was 3D!
I noticed also (and that was with the latest Transformers BluRay 3D) that when starting playback from the filemanager i had to swap 3D left-right while it was ok in VIDON XBMC.

The UI is set at 1080p 24p. It works with my Sony TV and when I connect the box to the Philips TV with the same setup it plays 2D only.

This is not a bug, we have already said that currently if you want to watch the 3D movie, you must choose the main title, menu mode doesn't work, but we are working on it.

Thanks for your feedback, I will report this to the product manager.
Which "Filemanager" did you use to play the 3D movie? The one named "File Manager" in "My Apps" or the one named "Files" listed next to My Apps in VMC?

What's the model of your TV? Please make sure it supports 3D.

We just tested some 3D Blu-ray iso files when the output was set to 1080p60Hz, 1080p50Hz and 720p60Hz, the movie still played in 3D mode. We didn't see your problem.
Anyone else can reproduce this problem?

Hey movie78,
We just played a movie "Despicable Me", which contains both 2D and 3D, with the latest VidOn XBMC, the output was set to 1080p50Hz(because we just tested this problem and didn't change it back to 1080p24Hz, we believe it doesn't matter whether the output is 1080p24Hz or not, the box will force the output change to 1080p24Hz when the movie begins), the result is we saw the 3D picture on the screen.
So we may need more details...
Can you send the log to us? Let me know if you have done it.

The UI is set at 1080p 24p. It works with my Sony TV and when I connect the box to the Philips TV with the same setup it plays 2D only.

So I have tested another brand new high speed 0,5m HDMI cable and it still plays 2D. I also tested 1080-50p without success. The TV is a Philips 50pfl7956k and it is 3D. I have a 3D blu ray player connected which works perfect.
