i'm trying out the dev version after using Madnox from the time it was in private beta.
things are going well and i've got it all setup. have all the correct add ons. one thing i can't seem to get though that i liked in the beta mad nox is i have a playlist that i want to display bluray/dvd cases for. this playlist should display the latest movies i have added to my library. now, the cases do show up but they are of random movies and nothing close to the latest. before there was a section for smart playlist where you told it how you wanted things to be displayed.
can anyone tell me how i can do this in the dev version? what i'm doing now:
setup the aeon nox main menu
select background - live background video playlist
case - dvd/br
but for some reason the cases that are displayed aren't from my playlist. as i said i know how i could fix this in the past with the smart playlist section how can it be done in dev?

Yes, the way playlists have worked has changed. Rather than create a playlist, then use the playlist manager to adjust how it displays, now playlists are displayed as defined in the playlist themselves. So if you want to display recent movies in a playlist, you'd edit the playlist to 'Order By' 'Date added'. Give it a limit as well, because the images in the cases are assigned randomly from the items in the playlist (so if there's no limit, the playlist will contain all movies in your library, and the backgrounds will be a random selection of these) - so if you just want the 10 most recent movies, set the limit to 10. And you should have what you're after.
(And reading back what I've just written about the limits/random choice - maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to add a toggle for whether they're random or not!)

This thread is tough to search, so just a couple quick questions to confirm I'm not crazy:
On Jarvis, are some overlays still broken for this theme (e.g., video OSD, some context menus, etc.)?
Also on Jarvis, is there any way to disable the live background in the Movies section, and have it only display the background fanart for the currently highlighted film?

i have try the dev version and must say: YES
I only have 2 problems (questions)First: when i select a widget i could say sort by "date added" any chance to get this with live background ? So the live backround have any movie from my playlist, i want so see the last added movies on my menu background ?
Second: perhaps i dont see it, but where could i enable cases for the set Live DVD Cases ?

I think the only way to add it will be by annoying Schimi - and just because it means changing some strings and some options

For the what...? If there's anything that works on current master that doesn't on the dev branch, please give details of what the behaviour was and explain how to enable the old behaviour on Master - that way I can follow the code through to see how it was implemented, and try to get it re-implemented.

Hi not sure if this can be done I received my NVidia shield TV today and would like to install this skin. I know for a windows system its a matter of copying the skin into the Kodi directory, How does one go about doing this on the shield if possible?

So just access the shield from my pc with the ip and copy and past the Madnox dir. into addon dir. on the shield? I could see the other skins such as confluence but could not copy madnox over like I do in windows.

If you see skin.confluence then you're in the wrong addons folder - that Kodi's system addon folder and shouldn't be modified. Take a look at userdata (wiki) - the correct addon folder is found one folder 'up' from the location given at the start of that page.

@Mika, thanks for the screenshots. next aired selector is off screen because it looks like you don't have 'use logo for title' set in view showcase which is causing the 'Logo behind plot' selector to be shown. I'll add it to the list to re-position the window so it can show all the options it needs too.
Kodiflix should not show the next aired bubble so that is wrong as it shows the next aired info over to the left, so I'll add it to the list to remove the next aired info at top of screen when view is kodfilix.

If you are using the dev branch then you should have the option for case on Live background already, go to where you set live background and you should have 2 option below being - background image and - case. Just select the - case option and choose the case you want to use and you'll have cases on the live background.
