I have just started to use a DM500c, and have problems with artifacts when streaming to my xbox with the TuxBox client, the same when recording to HDD.
I have tried Gemini 3.5 (who by the way is labeled streamts_fix in the name), but I see even moore artifacts on my xbox with it.
Is it someone else here that use a DM500 that can confirm worse quality using Gemini 3.5 and TuxBox client?

yeah, i also have more artifacts after flashing dm500s to 3.50

I reverted back to Gemini 3.30, then I manually added a new streamts to my dm500. Now it streams to my xbox with allmost no artifacts, its certainly better than before. If you like to try it you can download the streamts from http://traxme.net/streamts.zip
Then extract it. Ftp streamts to /var/bin/ and inetd.conf to /var/etc. SSH/telnet in to the dreambox and enter: chmod 755 /var/bin/streamts
Then enter ps ,find the PID number for inetd service. Enter: kill (pid number)
Finally enter: inetd /var/etc/inetd.conf -> starting the new streamts.

Every time you reboot, you have to redo the last 2 lines, but if you want it to autostart add these to lines in your /var/etc/init:
ps | grep inetd | grep -v grep | awk '{ print $1 }' | xargs kill
inetd /var/etc/inetd.conf

Nabilo Image for dreambox 7000 7020 - finas - 2007-05-09

I tried nabilo 0.7 today and it is spectacular. Trully the best image so far for the dreambox.
Anyone knows if it is gemini based, or if there is a way of getting it to stream to the xbox ?

well, the problem remains with nabilo 0.8 Sad
