does someone have an idea ?

- stromrickard - 2007-11-17

In the latest release (10-17) i saw the following:
2007-11-14 10743 added: dvb subtitle support in mpeg-ts streams for dvdplayer added

Does this mean subs will work when streaming from a dreambox?

Hi

Numbnuts here need some help Smile
I'm trying to get a connection to my Dreambox (DM7000s running Gemini 4.1). My XBOX is running XBMC 2.1 stable.

I have created a share: tuxbox://USERTongueASSWORD@TUXBOX_IPTongueORT/ where user / pass is the same as the one I use to log into the web interface on the dreambox. I use port 80 (thats the port the webinterface is using) - is that correct?

Hovever - I won't connect (it can't find the "share")...

Question is, have I done something wrong?

Thanks,

/Dyvel

I have not installed any plugins on the dreambox/xbox as I'm under the impression no extra plugins is needed...

- spoone - 2007-11-29

dyvel,

why dont you pick a copy of the latest tech-release?
under "videos" you just add the tuxbox-source via context-menu.
no hassle with ip and password.
if you then select the tuxbox-source (after you added it to your video section) you should see your custom bouquets.
im using a dbox2, but i think that should work for dreamboxes as well.
that should be all.
someone correct me if im wrong.Nerd

greets,
spoone

Hi there.
I have tried to hook-up my DreamBox 7025+ (Gemini 2 v3.1 Suomipoeka image) with XboxMC and the recordings are now linked properly.

The problem is the streaming from DB to Xbox?
In videos there are TuxBox selection under AddLink etc,
but what do I must to do with DreamBox? What must there be installed?Rolleyes

TuxBox protocol does not support Enigma2 (7025) platform. - realjobe - 2007-12-28

Dear Board.

At the current time the are only Two Boxes a Man needs : Xbox1 and DreamBox 7025+. Believe me. With these 2 boxes there are no limits what media world can offer.

Using XBMC build 10941 I have tried to make this TuxBox protocol to work, but in vain.

ErrorLog is http://pastebin.com/m7ac58590

The right path for Streams via browser is
http://192.168.0.5/webdata/streaminterface.html

In XP I have VLC player 0.8x (with Mozilla ActiveX installed) with FireFox2 and the Web Interface for streaing digiTV channels to browser works like a charm. With Opera &/ IE7, the ActiveX component does not work properly / at all (ie7).

- realjobe - 2007-12-28

In DreamBox's webInterface it is possible to download a m3u playlist file. XBMC's video assosiations did not pick it up, so I created .strm file with same link inside (http://192.168.0.5:8001/1:0:1:61:2001:20F6:EEEE0000:0:0:0:) and it worked. Every channel must be created manually due to a service id in the URL.

So by creating a folder structure with .strm and folder.jpg's I can make this to work.

Still, the TuxBox stuff seems to be better (forum notes)..

DreamBox DM500 Streaming XBMC (XBOX) Tuxbox client? - s88xj - 2008-02-22

I've been struggling with this issue for months, but haven't put in the time to try to resolve it.

I have a DM500 and two XBOXs. I want to stream from the DM to the XBOX--one at a time of course.

When trying to do this with XBOX's tuxbox client, I get an error something to the effect of it having too many errors and aborting.

I've also had very poor luck streaming to VLC on a PC and using dreamview.

I'm using Pli Iolite and was using Helenite previously. I've had the same results on both...using my custom channel list, and after loading a freshly scanned channel list (used DSM to scan).

I'm starting this thread as a place to log my troubleshooting and if anyone has any ideas those are of course welcome.

So I backed up pli, copied over my bin, scce, keys, and lib directories.

Loaded Gemini and set it up, installed the rq package and copied over my scce, keys, and lib directories and got picture fairly quickly.

Now, if I go into my XBOX and tune to a local channel, it takes a minute or 2 for it to come up, and the picture is extremely pixelated and the sound is horrible. This is with both the DB and the XBOX plugged directly into a switch.

Evidently, this is the case when tuning to a true FTA channel like NASA.

I'll see what else I can do but I have little faith in this feature being usable for me.

Would your DM500 be a clone perhaps?
I believe the clone 500s had some network issues.

- s88xj - 2008-02-22

I suppose that's a slight possibility. I've been suspecting that lately because of this issue.

It works fine otherwise.

I'll email dream-multimedia to find out for sure...
