AFAIK the 500S has a faulty NIC which makes it unusable for streaming Channel not changing in Tuxbox or plugin on dm500hd - yamaha06 - 2010-07-20 Hi all my dm500hd will not change channel when you tell it to change channel via an m3u file in vlc nor will it do this in tuxbox or in the enigma 2 plugin in im sure that when i first got the box that it changed the channel via the m3u file however the stream does work when you click the name of the channel and then stream it this is the same story in tuxbox and the plugin. Has anyone had this problem or can anyone help - rtrimarchi - 2010-08-01 hi DREAM guys.... I read about zapstream...which it is great on my dreambox...but how do I install this patch into the current XBMC release I got installed I have right now the xbmc-r31938-trunk.exe can someone explain me briefly how t put this patch into xbmc Before this last xbmc-r31938-trunk.exe version, I was able to stream using VLC as external player instead of the internal tuxbox player....but since I installed this new version, I get an error from VLC that cannot open that address anymore....when before it was working. Please...someone gimme a hint thanks a lot in advance rick - rtrimarchi - 2010-08-01 Aigu Wrote:There should be a fix according to this trac entry: http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/9102 It looks like in the svn 31938-trunk and later this mod has been introduced. Can somebody give a quick explaination on how to install zapstream on the dbox ? The explaination I got in the past were these: - zapstream in /var/bin con permisos 755 - zapstream.conf in /var/etc con permisos 644 - inetd.conf in /var/etc con permisos 644 - init in /var/etc con permisos 755 From My pc, I can stream perfectly using VLC using both methods: the old streamts (port 31339) with: http://root:[email protected]:31339 the new zapstream (port 31344) with: http://root:[email protected]:31344 This means that my dreambox is streaming perfectly at both ports The problem now arises when changing channel from xbmc on the dbox....it gets stuck... Can someone gimme some light ? reboot - rtrimarchi - 2010-08-02 got the same problem since I installed the last trunk svn version.... I have been using VLC as external player to stream from my dm500. It was working great....now FAILS.... any idea on what's going on ? Can you suggest a different forum area where I can ask some info on it I'd appreciate it - jhsrennie - 2010-08-05 rtrimarchi Wrote:I have been using VLC as external player to stream from my dm500. I'm not aware that anything has changed. If you turn on debug logging you may get more info about what argument(s) XBMC is passing to the externla player. Alternatively create a batch file called C:\whatever.bat containing something like: Code: echo Script: %0 >C:\whatever.txt and edit coreplayerfactory.xml to temporarily change the player executable to C:\whatever.bat. Now when you play something XBMC will execute your batch file and this will write the arguments to C:\whatever.txt. That way you'll be able to see exactly what arguments are being passed. NB note the single > on the first line and the double >> on the other lines. The >> redirection appends output to the specified file. JR - rtrimarchi - 2010-08-06 jhsrennie, I am already able to see what's the http address string that VLC receives from xbmc. I can tell you for sure that the string that is causing error on VLC 0.86i is now pointing for sure to a different port: 31344, when in the previous xbmc releases it was 31399. I read somewhere that now xbmc uses zapstream and not streamts....... Do you know something more ? I can browse the channels....but as soon as I play one of them......VLC external program opens and fails. Before with the same xbmc config, but previous release svn, it was playing it.... so the only difference I got now is ONLY a newer XBMC svn release.... Any idea - rtrimarchi - 2010-08-06 no news on the zap channel Tuxbox problem - rtrimarchi - 2010-08-06 I'd like to give you more info and details.... in case somebody is having the same issue-problem..... the previous trunk svn used to pass this http address for the streaming to VLC (FOX channel): http://root:[email protected]:31339/0,0110,09a8,098e the latest dharma svn now passes to VLC (FOX channel): http://root:[email protected]:31344/langpid=0x013c ....and with this VLC FAILS Anyone can help - rtrimarchi - 2010-08-06 I'd like to give you more info and details.... in case somebody is having the same issue-problem..... the previous trunk svn used to pass this http address for the streaming to VLC (FOX channel): http://root:[email protected]:31339/0,0110,09a8,098e the latest dharma svn now passes to VLC (FOX channel): http://root:[email protected]:31344/langpid=0x013c ....and with this VLC FAILS Anyone can help |
