I got DreamBox 7025+ with Gemini2 image. Dharma reads the bouquets, but does not stream or show the channel list... gotto debug, I suppose..

Hi,
I got a DM800HD which I'm using as an "under-the-stair" setup..
I've set it up correctly and it is running decently, though I have some issues/wishes which I hope I can get some help with..
- Under Video settings I have to setup a Interlace, video scaling, sharpness and noise reduction in order to make the picture equal in quality with what is ported through HDMI, then I set it as default for all movies, but every time I switch video stream it "reset" these settings to XBMC default.. How to make these settings permanent for all streaming?
- EPG - The dreambox is capable of getting EPGs, though it doesn't show them prettily it provides them in a quick overview, is there any chance to get them portet somehow to XBMC?
- In my channel list, is there a possibility to maybe add pictures of logoes to the different channels?
I'm more than willign to put some efforts into this but my programming skills lies in different areas and are hardly sufficient..
I'm also wondering why there isn't some more well formed documentation of what is possible and what isn't.. The wiki only shows how to get a tuxbox client setup - which is a good start..
Again, I'm more than happy to help with testing and trying or whatever I'm capable of..

Yes same problem here, I would like to see a channel icon instead of the list, I can change the icon for the Dreambox "favorite" item but not for the individual channels. I guess we need a script to scan the list and attach an icon to each channel. I know that the Lyngsat web site has HTML pages with all the channel icons from around the world.

I am trying to watch DM500 by XMBC on Ipad. I have done exactly as below: create a share with the Tuxbox IP adress and login informations. The Share is
tuxbox://USER
ASSWORD@TUXBOX_IPORT/On Opening, I could see the Bouquet + Channel list... However, when I click on achannel , it do not begin to stream. It returns to menu page.
My DM500s is with Linux Kernel, Linux version 2.6.9(root@gbox), gcc version 3.4.4#1.
Could please advise me what should I do?

i tryed 2 plugin before i found out that there i as out of the box support...
(slapped myself
) Bäm...What about channel switching and epg, will this arrive or is something planned with the first final pvr release when ever it comes out?

if have a problem with the xbmc tuxbox client:
After stopping (explicit with stop button) my e2 box is shutting down.
Is that normal? Is it tuxbox client that initates that shutdown?
That happens if my e2 box is in standby.
After stopping streaming with with xbmc i like to have the box in standby
again not off... hmm is there any hidden setting what happens with the
tuxbox server if it's not used anymore?
Any clues?

i have managed to install Xbmc on my Apple Tv 2 and streaming from my Vu+ Duo HD reciever works great until i restart Xbmc, then i can no longer access my channel bouquet. Same thing happen on my PC, after restart Xbmc it does not work. It doesn´t help to just add a new tuxbox client, i need to uninstall and reinstall Xbmc, then it works again.
I use Vu+Duo with latest Pli image and the pc runs windows 7.
I have no password set on the Vu+Duo and i dont know if that could cause an issue?
Could it be an issue with the port nr?
Can someone pls give me a hint what to do?

Is the dbox2 and neutrino HD not supported anymore? I can access the channel liste from e1 and 2 boxes, but not dbox2 and kathrein 910 with neutrino HD.
With both neutrino boxes i can watch via webinf/vlc.
So what is the problem?
Edit: Ok, the wiki says, that neutrino/dbox2 never worked. Just dbox2 with enigma
xbmc crashes when trying te read channel list - B3rt - 2011-04-27
I added my dreambox (using enigma2) based box (VU+) with latest PLI image.
Iphone streaming apps, webtv all work fine but when I try using xmbx to stream xbmx crashes.
It loads the favoriet list, but when I try to enter 1 of them xmbc crashes.
I tried it on:
- my win7 (32bit) htpc running xmbc
- my desktop with dual boot win7/ubuntu 10.10 (both x64)
On all windows machines xbmc hangs and greys out, no responding and have to force a xmbc shutdown using the task manager.
On my ubuntu same problem but here xmbc just close down when it crashes.
As mentioned iphone streaming app, webtv or viewing using the browser works perfectly on all OSses, only XMBC tuxbox option does not work.
I added video source as:
http://root:[email protected]:80/
As said this loads my favorit list into xmbc but nothing more...
This is what my ubuntu xmb log shows when i click on a favorit map, log just stop when xmbc crashes.

note:
the dreambox itself keeps working and does nothing when it crashes on xmbc
I searched the forums but cannot find any solution to this problem...
Can some please help fix this?

Zapping works, if your Dreambox is in Standby-Mode

i never saw a working channel zap with that plugin are you sure?
What key oder what button do you press?
Do you made any changes to the plugin or with something related to it?
