Thanks for your update. That's really good news.

But I cannot get SVN versions. Is it possible that you can upload the latest XBMC SVN build somewhere? Maybe it's too much to ask. But thanks a lot anyway.

Ok first time I tried the skin and here's some feedback:
I basically use the My Video's a LOT and there are some things I still see done the 'old way'.
For instance why is the View: still on the upper left side?? You set that once to your taste and thats it! Just put it at the end.
In the library mode:
Why in hell is is the Unwatched/Watched/All movies at the end? At first I couldn't even find it.
Please put Sort by in front, after that Unwatched, View at the far end.
Please rename My videos to My video files or something, it's confusing now that its for leaving the library mode.
In the movie information screen: Cast doesn't do anything, they do appear in PM3.
Search: you can enter something and it finds it, but pressing ok doesnt bring up that movie.

Weather: The text for Sunday is too long, it isnt aligned properly within the dark background and goed over the line and onto the blue background color.

Well thats enough bitching for now Smile
Overall I really like it.

And the IMDB lookup doesn't work?!

- M.D. - 2007-02-02

I'm trying the 070201 builds of Clearity & XBMC, the previous bugs are gone. Great work!

But I found there's another one, it's actually there since earlier builds. The "Add Source" function doesn't work because I simply cannot highlight the "OK" button. And I cannot take a screenshot at that very menu. So I have to use a camera.

I found this bug too. Guess that's a 0201 XBMC bug, not Clearity's. IMDB works fine with 0201 Clearity under 0116 XBMC.

Also noticed the textures of "Previous/Next buttons" are added. Thanks Smokehead for your hardwork.

If you can spare some time, the textures can use a little more touch. Clearity is my favorite skin, so please pardon me if I ask too much.

Smokehead, do you have any idea why your skin uses 5MB more memory then PMIII? I really like the skin, but I need more free memory Sad
Is there anything I could edit so it uses less?

For the others downloading my daily clearity build, I now have the changelog available as a seperate download as well...

I'm curious. What can 5 MB more memory help? I assume playing video files use the most memory? But isn't Xbox more strained on CPU than memory on this? Or with 5 MB more, I can use 1080i desktop with smooth skin animation and still play video at the same resolution?

The changelog is a very considerate thought. Thanks.

How To Build Your Own up-to-the-minute build - STRAiGHTjACKET - 2007-02-02

Tired of relying on these good souls to make you the most recent build?
Just follow these steps...

1) If you haven't already, download and install TortoiseSVN
2) Using explorer make a folder somewhere on your harddrive - name it CLARITYSVN
3) RIGHT click the newly created folder and LEFT click SVN checkout
4) Load the following link into a web browser:
https://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/xboxmediacenter/Clearity/
5) From your browser copy the URL and then paste it into the checkout window of TortoiseSVN on the line that says "URL of repository", hit OK

6) After it is done, explore the CLARITYSVN folder, you will see a file called build.bat, double click this file.
7) There will be a newly created folder called BUILD, inside this folder is a folder name CLARITY, upload this folder to your xbox.

I hope those who have been struggling with the whole TortoiseSVN thing will find this tutorial useful.

Well, I'd rather have more then 5, but I'll take as much as I can.. On some Video files, I run out of memory when trying to open them.. on those, 1 or 2MB of memory can make the difference of beeing able to play them.

These instructions aren't of much use to those of us using Mac OS X and other OS's. And I'm using a 20-inch G5 iMac so no, I can't just reboot into Windows. I'm afraid for the time being I still have to rely on these good souls (and thank God for them).

It's really surprising how few Xbox PC tools support other OS's considering how well XBMC itself does. Thank god for Transmit on the Mac for putting things on the Xbox and SharePoints for setting up SMB shares or I'd be crazy by now.

Keep up the good work Msan.
