Here is an alternate mirror for the latest xTV compiled build, mostly updated when there is an commit to the subversion directory:

There really isn't such thing as "building" a skin though is there? The build scripts just copy the individual folders into another folder in the XBMC skins folder correct? I never had to do a "build" for Vinci or AEON. I'm pretty new to XBMC so let me know if I'm wrong.

skins from svn require that you use the included build.bat file to run, which takes all the png images and compresses them into an xpr which xbmc uses... you will get another folder entitled "skin" and in it is the usable version of the skin which can than be placed into xbmc.

Ahh thanks for that... all gets a bit confusing sometime on whats been added.. Confused

Does this contain the Fan Art? To be honest I dont know what fan art is so I was keen to take a look!! LOL!! Laugh

No, it does not contain the Fan Art. I guess it will be added at some point by the creators of xTV. I don't want to get in their way, I just posted a quick fix people can try out in the meantime. It was not an official update to the xTV skin, maybe I should have made that more clear.

Fanart allows you to display images of your tv shows as a background picture. Said images are automatically downloaded fromt thetvdb.com. If you have a recent xbmc build the default skin has support added for it as well.

Can the build.bat file run on the xbox, or is it a PC thing? Is there a Mac equivalent?

- Jezz_X - 2008-06-06 09:57

all a built.bat does is copy the files into the needed locations the main thing that is windows only is it calls a program called xbmctex.exe that compresses the image files into a xpr file. And no currently you can't do it on anything but windows

I also added a line that displayed the filename of the selected file as well (used it so I could fix improperly scrapped files).

Here is my dialogvideoinfo.xml file. I did the trailers a little different than Jeroen, not sure which is the better way... I did notice that mine goes back to the movie list and not the movie info screen, maybe Jeroen goes back tothe info screen.

I had included this in another thread, but thought i would add it here as well Smile

Any feedback is appreciated as this is my first mod of a skin that I have done.

Did these changes remove the scrolling spin controls from the movie information screen?

- rtwight - 2008-06-14 04:43

Not sure what you mean by the spinning control. If you mean on the plot then no it is still there.

A real newbie question sorry - Im going from MC360 to xTV, got the latest t3ch installed and xTV up and running. I like the fact that there are separate TV Show and Movie links on the home screen, however how do I change where they point to? Currently they just take me into my normal directory where my shortcuts from sources.xml are found, not straight into those locations as would be the preference...

press the white button to bring up the menu, and choose "set as default"

Will a trailer button ever be added to an official skin? ie Jezz X's version? I'm not really ofey with pasting the code from pate bin into the folders or where to put it to get the trailer button?

Here is the part I have a question about

http://pastebin.com/f362ee003

On line 6 the plot box is set to be 421 hight
On line 13 the spincontrol is set to be at 400

On my xbox when the plot is over one page it covers up the spincontrol

Also on the Cast/Plot button "UP" is coded to "50" which is the listcontrol ID for Cast. The spincontrol ID for Plot is "4" See line 257 for the Cast/Plot Up button. The Cast/Plot up doesn't go to the Plot spincontrol. I changed the UP to "4" is this the correct way to do this. See below
