What are other people doing to get around this? It's driving me crazy!
I have a Linksys NSLU2, if I installed the iTunes DAAP function via Unslung would that allow me access?

mt-daap runnning from anything will be able to stream to xbox still. At university many people have itune shares, however I just use Firefly media server and OurTunes, untill recently this worked. Does anyone know if a certain group/person is activly working on making a client for daap running from iTunes 7?

Is there any word on the iTunes 7 issue? I've gone too long with iTunes 7 to be able to roll back (I would lose too much of my new songs/ratings). Thanks

The new protocol has not been reverse engineered, and Apple hasn't released the specs, so no progress has been made. Nor is any likely to be made to be honest. Your best bet is requesting that Apple release their specifications.

I know the Xbox can access Itunes (6)... but is there any way to access the music on XBMC from Itunes? That would be much more valuable to me... Thanks!

the only method of accessing files on the xbox is ftp. if itunes supports ftp, then sure, why not.
(this is why its not advisable to keep media on the xbox if you want to share it. there are more ways to share media when they are on your computer.)

Maybe I'm an idiot but what does UPNP do for iTunes 7 compatibility? Or does it at all?
