it probably could be done, but for what reason should one spend months on that? A PI2 likely gives better video quality and performance and consumes way less power. Everybody is ofc free to try to port Kodi to it - the current team at least has no interested in doing a port for any console.

the ps3 has still the best upscaler & deinterlacer of the market.. But probably we couldn't use it..
