Please help Kodi shortcuts fire stick - Kevcoll - 2016-03-05
Every time I unplug my fire stick all my shortcuts disappear. If I just go to the home screen and back they are there. Not understanding how to fix this. If someone can help I'd appreciate it.

The video and program icons that you can put on tthe homepage through appearance. They will all be there on the home page but if I unplug the fire stick the hom page icons disappear.

I have not figured out yet if its the new update of the stick or jarvis but it seem a few are having this problem including myself
older versions of kodi can be found here
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/
maybe if you try one of them and it works it would indicate that jarvis might be the problem

Seems to be something in kodi 16 jarvis as i have now wiped two sticks after this same problem and installed 15.2 isengard everything is fine with all shortcuts now showing and
staying after powering off the stick and back on..

Reset the stick to factory settings
main amazon screen go to settings /system and scroll down to factory reset
then install different version of kodi found here
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/
then you will have to reinstall any apps you have installed
I use the sideload way but others do it through the ES file manager
google for either
p.s maybe someone will find a fix or an update of kodi might fix this if you are in no great hurry (just avoid switching of the stick at the mains)
ps putting the stick to sleep is ok and keeps the settings
