RSS Feeds Bookmark Scripts? - dville - 2007-05-31 Is there a script or something that I can keep a list, bookmarks/favorites style, for podcasts, both video and audio. Here is an example of an audio feed i would use http://leoville.tv/podcasts/twit.xml and here is an example of a video feed i would use http://feeds.feedburner.com/AskANinja another video feed i would use http://revision3.com/diggnation/feed/xvid-large.xml and another http://ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/podcastRSS?id=73330667 So you can see the formats are very different. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I would love to see a 'RSS' section, like there's a video, pictures, music, in XBMC. And in this sub menu would be the bookmarks list of podcasts i have in there. I don't see that happening but is there some sort of script that allows me to manage a list like this? - lolol - 2007-05-31 Hi! There are some Rss Scripts in the Wild, but they the projects are dead. Even the scripts (YaRSSr, xRss) won't work anymore, due coding convention changes... A Week ago I had the idea to make a new all-in-one RSS Reader, espacially the attatchment support was the point, to make a whole new script. I've made a small list, but didn't began coding yet, because me free time is very limited. Here is the list: Some thoughts: - Multi-Language support - Skin-Support - RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, ATOM, Podcasts (does anybody now which standard video podcasts follow most?) - Notification on new entries, Maybe a own little script, which shows up a little popup, 3-4 secs, with the possibility to jump directly to main script. - Option to save attached files - Use of Universal Feed Parser Python Lib - Save data in SQlite3 DB, like AMT does... Maybe i'll begin this weekend... I'll open a new thread, if the Project makes progress. Also I want to put the script to SVN later, what should I do for write ACCESS? Greetings lolol - rodejo16 - 2007-05-31 Try the Navi-X script. Can be downloaded at: http://home.planet.nl/~jon70928/ (or via http://www.xbmcscripts.com/) It supports a large collection of popular podcasts/vodcasts and you can add your own easily. rodejo - Livin - 2007-06-01 I built 'MultiRSS Reader' based on YaRSSr... still works just fine. It is posted on http://www.xbmcscripts.com but the site seems to be having indigestion lately. So I have posted for you on a temp site... MultiRSS_1.5.zip lolol, if you decide to whip up your own feel free to use this if you want. I'd be happy to test and give input. One thing I think would be nice is to be able to select an article and read the entire thing via scrolling. - lolol - 2007-06-04 rodejo16 Wrote:Try the Navi-X script. Hi! I didn't knew navi-x. Maybe I thought it was Retro-X. It is a Great Script! But the interface could be more xbmc like. What about skin support? cu lolol |
