Music database won't update - xboxpob - 2007-08-02
Hi
Can anyone help....its probably a simple answer.
I have deleted and replaced an album thumbnail in my music collection, but it still shows the original one, which I deleted.
This also happened when I re-tagged an song. I deleted the track and replaced it with the new one, but it still shows the one which was deleted.
I've tried cleaning the databse, but this doesn't seem to have worked.
Can anyone help??

The thumb is cached.
Select the album in question and select Album Information, then "Set Thumb" and you can choose it there.
I can't recall offhand if "Update Library" will pick up thumb changes or not.

Regarding the track, The tag has ? instead of a '
for example: I?ve instead of I've.
Do you know how, or if this can be amended

Sounds like incorrect charset encoding. Encode your tags as utf8.

Cool. And for the record, Update Library should pick up thumb changes.
