Pardon my ignorance, but I'm very unclear as to how to get this working. I downloaded the installer plugin, ran BUILD.BAT, and copied "BUILD/programs/SVN Repo Installer" to the plugins/programs folder under my XBMC installation directory as I was told by the batch file. I don't know what I'm supposed to do next..
Again, very sorry for asking such a silly questions, but I don't see any instructions for this anywhere.

Edit: I've discovered that you need to copy the "BUILD/programs/SVN Repo Installer" folder to the user's programs folder (username/application data/xbmc/plugins/programs), not the global one (in the XBMC installation directory). Perhaps this should have been specified in the batch file.

Is it possible to pre-fetch directories and folders using the XBMC plugins system? I was thinking that SVN Repo Installer could be a LOT faster if, when I went into a repo folder, it automatically started fetching the whole directory tree. Or at least in really navigationally obvious cases...

It would be a lot faster if it only had to rely on the new description xml file and not read every default.py to find to doc tags. That alone would speed it up a lot.

Can anyone help me with this error I'm getting in the SVN Installer?

Whenever I select something I get this error:

"SVN REPO INSTALLER ERROR!
ITERATION OVER NON-SEQUENCE"

Not sure what to do! I can't install anything from the SVN repo for some reason. I'm on XBMC Live 9.04.

wheres the full pastebin debug log?

- AddictedToMetal - 2010-01-06 15:45

Which log is needed for issues with the SVN installer?

I'm using it with Ubuntu-Karmic and the latest PPA packages. The UI is becoming completely unresponsive until I try to back out of the current screen. Sometimes, I can't get any change until I hit the shutdown menu. Then, things freeze and I have to kill XBMC.

Receiving zero plugins - alumin - 2010-01-06 22:47

I'm probably doing something completely stupuid, but I can't figure out what.

I have placed SVN Repo Installer in ~/.xbmc/plugins/programs. Then browses to xbmc-addons->plugins->video, but only to discover that it receives zero plugins, which I assume is not correct?

SVN Repo Installer version is 1.8.2a.
XBMC version is pre-9.10 r23984 on Ubuntu Juanty.

If you put it in plugins/programs , which is correct, you must look for it in programs. If you cant see it(depending on your skin) switch to PM3.HD and enter programs from home menu.

In my case it was a Rights problem... installed_items.dat couldn't be written because of root owning the SVN REPO INSTALLER folder..

chowning it fixed the problem..

(took me over 3 weeks to figure this out -.-)
