If you want to get addons from xbmc addons repository (on google code), you need to to it from settings -> addons. Installing SVN Repo Installer? - diafygi - 2010-12-13 17:16 Howdy, I would like to install the SVN Repo installer on xbmc (Dharma RC2 on Ubuntu 10.10). However, I'm confused about where to unzip it. In the wiki it says to unzip it in the "plugins/programs" folder. However, my xbmc directory only has the following folders: ~/.xbmc/addons ~/.xbmc/media ~/.xbmc/sounds ~/.xbmc/system ~/.xbmc/temp ~/.xbmc/userdata I tried creating a "/plugins/programs" folder, but it doesn't show up in xbmc. Any advice? - ronie - 2010-12-13 17:19 the info on the wiki is for xbmc camelot. on dharma you don't need the svn repo installer anymore, it's all built-in now. just check System > Add-ons. - diafygi - 2010-12-13 17:35 ronie Wrote:on dharma you don't need the svn repo installer anymore, it's all built-in now. just check System > Add-ons. Ok, so how do I add Yahoo HD trailers? - ppic - 2010-12-13 17:44 you need to know if it's dharma compatible, if not, you'll have to ask the author to upgrade it. - diafygi - 2010-12-13 17:48 ppic Wrote:you need to know if it's dharma compatible Ok, is there someplace that says whether it's compatible? I tried installing it from the zip, and it failed. On a side note, is there a website/repository that has Dharma-ready addons? - prae5 - 2010-12-13 17:52 If they are in they are in the addons browser they are compatible. If they are in a third party repo, they are probably compatible. If they don't explicitly state they are Dharma compatible, they probably aren't. If they are a old script, plugin, skin then they wont work. Third party repo's here - http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Unofficial_Add-on_Repositories [solved] - diafygi - 2010-12-13 18:06 prae5 Wrote:Third party repo's here - http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Unofficial_Add-on_Repositories Awesome, thanks! It doesn't look like the Yahoo trailers is available, but the Apple trailers does look available for Dharma. I can go with that. - dobbelina - 2011-01-11 06:32 In the first post there's a link to what i assume is the "Non-Dharma" old style repo installer plugins. http://xbmc-addons.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/plugins/video/ There are 2 goodies there that really would be nice to have ported to Dharma compatibility. That is: Family Guy & Mythbusters Don't know who's the author of these, but any help to get these to work in Dharma is appreciated. While i'm at it, Simpsons would be nice to..
