As for the plugin folks, I can't really speak on behalf of what was or was not done in the plugin as Cool_bombom appears to have made modifications to the original work. The plugin was discontinued a long while ago when the original developer of the plugin gave it to us and disappeared so it's possible some important things may be missing from it's guts.

Cool_bombom, if you can look into trying to remedy any bugs, I can get you with our team and discuss working out possible issues, but I need to know more from your end to make this work. Let me know what the entirety of your changes include and if you are utilizing the Navi-X API or not please. Thanks.

iR0NBiLL Wrote:Those two scrapers haven't been working for a while now. Check up on our forums at navix.turner3d.net and search in the top right search box for cartoon network or pbs kids and you will see the notes.

Couldn't find the notes. I remember something about cartoon network. But not about pbs kids. And it is still on Site Scrapers list. I marked them both broken now on Navi-X Networks. Anyway if someone think it is broken, not reported and request a fix. as iRoNBILL said : Make a reply on the Navi-Xtreme topic : Broken site scraper / processor reports.

I saw on navix forums that turner3D has fixed the Grooveshark search and play.. They work fine in the script but the plugin seems to fail the playing part. Anyone else tried it yet?

Ahhh. The plugin is missing the modifications to handle advanced processing of headers including nookie handling for Grooveshark. If Cool_bombom wants to reach out to Turner at turner3d@gmail.com then he might be able to give you the libs to add and hookup.

Well for what it's worth, we fixed Grooveshark again in Navi-X. Until they shut down, it's all fair in war and peace. Big Grin

..with both Grooveshark and mflow closing shop soon .. there will be no decent music search available to Navi-X and the XBMC platform besides Soundcloud..

Update - Cool_bombom - 2011-11-25 07:36

Hi macf1an

>the second dialog when opening a folder is gone so browsing is as fast as in 0.3.2 but file opening still takes ~10 seconds to show any signs. The new bottom right message "retreiving data" appears at the same time as the scraper dialog - after about 10 seconds. 0.3.2 was the best so far.
>Edit: It seems to be folder dependent. justme4u2c items take about 10 seconds but fastpass (from boseman's dynamic) takes 4.. again both dialogs appear simultaneously
Removed the retrieving data thing again!! don't think there is much i can about the gab between selecting and the dialog showing!!

>folders are still created... I just noticed a file in the addons folder called plugin.navi-x\source.plx
and now ... found a place where the folders was set up wrong!!

>you made a little progress with "My videos". Now it shows the Videos menu's subfolders but going back doesn't return to the plugin but to the main screen.
yeah ... i tried a lot of different things can't seem to get it work right!!

>I saw on navix forums that turner3D has fixed the Grooveshark search and play.. They work fine in the script but the plugin seems to fail the playing part. Anyone else tried it yet?
FIXED

nice job! the folders are finally gone!

it's very strange that different lists produce up to twice the amount of time required for processing.. maybe it has to do something with format of the plx that is slowing things down. just a guess..

Browsing history and My Favourites now open fine but no history is maintained. Is this part implemented ? Local disk playlists still result in a file not found error.. My videos still doesn't return to the plugin.
Why not follow iR0NBiLL's advice (if you haven't already) and discuss how they do it in the script?

Grooveshark works though it's slowish - shows about 8 dialogs from the processor before playing. Do you follow the official Grooveshark Script thread? Latest release has a fix that shows the real track name instead of stream.php

btw have you considered getting an ATV 2? Being the cheapest (read: very popular) all-in-one HW platform for XBMC - it's currently on sale for less than $90 ... and Apple are still signing the 4.3 SW - meaning you can have a proper unthetered "fix" Smile
