Vortex simulator? - mikiex - 2008-02-03 11:37 I was checking out Vortex, its impressive, but a shame not so much activity for new vis. I was thinking some kind of simulator to develop these in windows would be great and might encourage more activity. - MrC - 2008-02-04 22:40 Hi I am glad you like it. If I get time I may convert Vortex to OpenGL to allow it to run on Linux. If I do that it shouldn't be much more work to convert it to work as a simulator in Windows as you suggest. Don't let the lack of a simulator stop you from trying to create your own presets though. It should be easier with the new version I am working on as any compilation errors will be displayed on screen rather than through the debug output as it currently is. - stuaxo - 2008-06-03 18:52 Is the new version in current builds of xbmc ? I'ill be upgrading soon, so might have a poke at vortex
- MrC - 2008-06-05 01:15 No, there is no new version yet. - stuaxo - 2008-09-25 21:01 MrC Wrote:No, there is no new version yet. Bringing it to the other platforms via opengl would be most excellent
- dt1000 - 2009-07-09 01:05 From the posts above am I correct in assuming this is an Xbox only feature? If so then I second porting it to Open GL. It sounds groovy. Any cahnce of some screenshots for us non-Xboxers?
