HD/blu ray rip playback? - renegade - 2008-02-11 23:08 I have been trying to find out whether or not playback of x264 HD/blu ray rips is possible. Currently the video play perfectly, however the audio is hosed(for lack of a better term). I did read that it was only on-board audio that is bad, and that using outboard audio works(am going to try that shortly). What I am curious is if anyone is able to have full playback on their MAC? I am using a 24" aluminum, 2.4GHz Core2Duo, 4G RAM, Radeon HD2600 256MB, only info I have for sound is "Intel High Definition Audio" (built-in). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated(if it is possible). - Weavus - 2008-02-12 00:41 You need to use digital audio out (to an amp) as the rips you are trying to play are 5.1 surround and currently XBMC for OS X does not down convert them to 2 channel stereo which is why you get the weird audio. - renegade - 2008-02-12 01:15 Weavus Wrote:You need to use digital audio out (to an amp) as the rips you are trying to play are 5.1 surround and currently XBMC for OS X does not down convert them to 2 channel stereo which is why you get the weird audio. Well then that makes sense. Obviously external out had same result. Thanks for your reply. |
